Got the hood done. My wife works for DA, and at her building they just happened to have a bunch of expired cans of 686 matched touch up in the trash pile. I saved them.
Next big project is the cooling stack and inner fenders. It's really the only place on the truck I haven't been except...
Finally fully floored.
If anyone remembers the Fast and Furious heydays of the early 2000s, I was guilty of building plenty of fiberglass car parts. Since then, I've built plenty of actual racecar parts, so fiberglass is easy. This is even easier since it doesn't have to be perfect, just...
24v adjustable rate LED flasher and whatever Amphenol connector it is (I wrote it down somewhere). I put it all in a cheap waterproof project box roughly the same size as the Nartron flasher (and that fit under the dash where it should). I think I've got about $30-40 into it. If it fails, I just...

Been lurking....
Today?
When I picked up my 1097, it had been stripped of all the interior insulation. Literally, whoever turned it in had been told to "Take everything out of that vehicle", so they did, down to the bent metal tubes and screws. All they left was the chunk under the heater core...
Kansas is good to go.
The state won't take an SF-97 (since July 2023), only a full title. It needs to be registered as a "Special Interest" vehicle (per H.B. 2014/S.B. 18 in 2021). If you don't already have the KS collector's license, it's a one time $20 fee. It needs to be that way because...
