Not sure on the brakes, but it sounds like you have air in the power steering lines. Especially if the quick disconnect was off. I had the same problem with my truck and followed this TM to purge the lines: http://www.hummerknowledgebase.com/susp/ppsp.html

Probably used for identification to prevent friendly fire.

Sounds like a couple phone calls to local mechanics are in order. These trucks are dead simple to work on. (At least compared to modern cars) x2 on supplying TM's when dropping off the truck.

Did you check the TM for a truck that has a 2 man soft top? Maybe a TM for an M1097.

Not particularly. Just make sure it's origianal and not a Chinese knockoff. Many people here swear by the vendors on this forum. I bought mine off ebay to save $10 because I'm cheap. Also don't start your truck until it's installed and you've checked all the fluids.

Congrats! Get yourself a CDR valve ordered now. They get removed during the demil process.

Check the Items Won page on GovPlanet. If it says Call Titles Department, they may need to clear up something before issuing the SF97. My truck didn't list a year in the sale and they needed me to complete an additional form before the SF97 was processed.

Does anyone know where the engine ground is on turbo 6.5's? I'm at work and have been pouring over the TM's with no luck. When I remove the doghouse, all I see is turbo stuff.

Should be a supplemental ballistic windshield defroster/heater. I still have the switch on my truck, but no windshield unfortunately.

Not sure if your truck is similar to mine or not but you can really hear when the radiator fan kicks on. It's like the truck has a second engine. lol Do you know if the fan is turning on when the engine gets hot?

Looks like you need serpentine belt as well so the alternator won't be generating power anyways.
