Do you know anything about the heaters? I now have possession of said trailer and the heaters are there, not much else though. A bunch of empty shelves and cobwebs.
Thanks. Everything went fine in Sparta, truck fired right up, only a few minor leaks so far. Recovery of the m295a1 trailer in Minot was a nightmare however.
I am going to get my M931a2 from Sparta this thursday, august 27th. Just wondering if there are any members in that area or anywhere between Sparta and MT reading this who want to would be able to assist if there are any break downs along the route home through Minneapolis. Hoping all goes...
Was wondering about that if they expanded. Any idea what size the generators were? Any info available on camper conversion? Google is coming up empty. I am thinking the van would be perfect for storing my spare parts and use the chasis for hauling scrap and stuff around the farm.

Back then starting a big diesel engine took some actual skill and ability! My 923 simply will not start at 0 degrees farenheit without outside heat source and even then with a block heater requires a little "smelling salt" to assist if its colder than 0
TMs can be very helpful. I replaced belts in my truck with no TM as well as many other repairs. It all depends on one's ability and knowledge of trucks. These trucks are actually very simple and straight forward, maybe more complicated than a bicycle but much more simple than a modern truck. I...
Block heater is better but even in winter when it's 0 or colder it might need ether. My m923 needs ether if its below freezing and needs more than one quick shot. The ether system on this truck only injects fluid if engine is cranking, switch has to be in crank position to energize the ether...
Valve stems is a non issue, they can be turned around. Buying another set of wheels isn't an option so I am looking for a machine shop that can bevel the holes
I am assumimg the original FMTV wheels were made to also be used on M939's and some of the newer FMTV wheels were not made thus, perhaps due to different manufacturer.
