I just got my 395/85R20 tires on FMTV rims home intended for my M936. The issue is the lug nut holes are not beveled on the backside of the wheel. Fronts are beveled. Is there any way to bevel the holes so I can flip the wheels to mount on rear axles? Google searches are coming up empty. I...
I was looking to buy that truck for the tires and parts, but at $4500 its too high considering thats what I bought my M923A2 for which does run and my M923 also. It was my bet the military (or someone) had pulled the engine, found out it wasn't worth fixing and reinstalled it. I was in the...
Thanks, figured they were some sort of support/leveling jack. I know I had seen them used before just couldn't remember. Probably from when I helped set up one of those vans years ago in the army.
I aquired these and not even sure what they are for. Thinking they are some sort of trailer leveling jack. I need a couple for a project, is there any market for them?
The pintle can be detached from a m923 but there is no civilian hitch that would replace it and even if there was it would be way to high for any civilian trailer. The 923a2 pintle is at least 3 feet off the ground.
What durability issues are you having with the cargi bed and what is it you haul?
The 929 hoist is definitely capable of more than I will be trying to haul. I need to haul gravel to build up our road. The 929 bed would be perfect for that but its just too small when bigger bed is needed.
Ever since I bought my m923 the plan was to put a dump hoist under the stock bed. I now have a complete m929 dump bed and subframe with hydraulics. (Missing PTO). I would still like to retain the cargo bed, so thinking of using hoist and subframe from the 929. I haven't seen anyone take this...
There is tons of info about putting 14.00r20 singles from a M939a2 on a regular m939 but cant find anything pertaining to putting duals from a M923 on an m923a2. I assume it would work but after looking at an A2 up close it looks like the mounting surface for the rear wheels on an A2 is...
