    M146 ladders?

Has anyone seen ladders for the 146's? And why are there so many tabs on the sides of the trailer? Is it for some kind of deck? It seems like the tabs under the side door are in the wrong place for a ladder, I know I have one of the alum ladders w/ round hooks propped on the tabs and it is a...

    Broke your motor from WMO?

You mean you are opposed to peace? :)

spare tire mounted vertically in bed of deuce

Did that one as well. My is designed to go into the stake-side holes, as I don't have any sides (it was a comm truck w/ a 280 in the bed). I can remove it if wanted. The inside view is a piece of channel w/ a hole in the middle, there's a bolt welded into the main part, held tight by a...

Ripcord, that second trailer is sweet, what is it?

    12 volt battery gauge

They charge while we drive as well, there's a dual alt set-up on the truck. The panels are now getting mounted between the rails of the cab-over rack. When I designed it I knew that it would get panels and a solar batch water heater between the rails as we progressed, so the side rails run all...

    12 volt battery gauge

Ours is on the charge controller for the solar panels. It doesn't let me (Elise really) see what is happening while driving (because it's in the box), but it does let us know what is going on while parked for days.

    Muffler on a multi-fuel...?

Check out the Dirt Bag thread and you'll see :driver:

    The Deuce is Dead...

I've heard this a few times and it doesn't make sense to me . . . how do you leave the switch on? You have to turn it off to pull the engine kill.

    Muffler on a multi-fuel...?

Elise's 109 has the straight through muffler that we got from Summit, we are thinking of double stacking them . . . there's room w/o pushing it too high. I've also fatmat'd the cab and will do the engine compartment as well, that will give me two layers on the firewall. She still thinks it's...

mixing wvo and wmo, so far so good

We have one of each, and they both run UMO. I've noticed no dif other than she can run away from me on hills (think I may have to turn her fuel down ;) ) My is non-bypassed, but that will change. I'm about to do that mod soon.

What are you using to collect WMO

I would recommended this. It will prob last loads longer. We have been using one for about a year for pushing through filters. Now that I'm running 3 filters it pumps slower and heats up if I'm filtering straight WMO. Prob time to start mixing in something to cut it, . . . cold weather is...

    Some kind of binding

Right, in the SE they just rust and fall off :D

    Some kind of binding

:ditto: The parking brake on Elise's 109 would stick every time we used it, but only if we were trying to back-up. We'd have to run it forward a bit before backing. Finely I spent some time and adjusted the parking brake per the TM . . . it's a lot of adjusting  Now it lets off when she...

The Jacqueline Cochran Air Show (Thermal Air Show)

I'm starting to think this is not happening :( I need to pick my mom up at the airport in PS at 11:00, was thinking that I would do that in the 109. Maybe during, or before going to the air show, . . . she used to be a pilot 8), think she would like it. So . . . are others going?

J-Tree - Northern Black Rock Desert, and back

That was a Thurs night that I rolled into camp, I threw my pack into the She Beast and Fri morning we headed to the music fest. The next three nights were spent camping and vending. Then I had to get ready for the Dirtbag Gathering. It was two weekends off . . . and of course I was...

J-Tree - Northern Black Rock Desert, and back

That night the wind blew in gusts all night long, making the aluminum buckle and sound. Nothing like being in a thin metal box when the wind is blowing. The next morning I woke pre-dawn to a grey/white world. "is that just the color of the earth & scubby sage?" . . . Nope, it's snow! As the...

    M109 window falling apart... Rebuildable?

Ours still had non-rotten wood (yea for desert life), but it was warped and pulled out of the metal channel. I pryed open the metal channel enough to push the wood back in. After clamping it there I used a punch (old flat-ended scewdriver) to drive in the edges of the metal channel in, in a few...

J-Tree - Northern Black Rock Desert, and back

You just have to get your azz out of those tick infested woods and back to the snake & cactus infested desert :D I'll be happy to do some desert runs w/ ya. :driver:

J-Tree - Northern Black Rock Desert, and back

Two days after that dirt track exploring I was packed and ready to start my run south. I had been watching the winter storm that was moving in from the far north, but got delayed by a day harvesting fuel. As I left, just after dawn, the whole western sky was black w/ heavy clouds. This was...
