What have you done to your MTVR today?

Picked up my MTVR Monday, Drove it home to WY, from Yermo, CA. Arrived early today having had a relaxed two day trip...and no issue occurred. I wanted to share this link, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0130JBEZ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought several types of this...

7 ton MTVR Parts Reference Spreadsheet

The headlights use a standard H4 24V bulb, they can be replaced in the housing. it is a pain but can be done. New bulbs appear to be brighter then OEM. I purchased Hella bulb for something like $10 on Amazon, bulb socket and wire harness, and a tube of caulk from hardware store, 60MM Heat...

I did find several breakers that refused to reset, put in fuses, may need to do more, referring to the stop light issues and flashers, Does anyone have a map of the use/breaker box, would save me a ton of time labeling it as I go. The diagnostic computer was dead. the fuse for it blown and...

For a Newbie to these trucks, Can I get everyone to list what they had to repair/service/replace when they got their truck and over the next 12 months

No that was not the only part I think I am going to need, just one that I have the least experience with buying. surprisingly the air seat switch works. off the 5 hubs my switch blade metric hex tool was strong enough to open the oil was clean, no burnt smell no water slime. All fluids...

    WY/CO Chapter

I could probably get you a free slot to shoot from and you can charge others to shoot from your truck....and at 35MPH from Cheyenne via Laramie and medicine bow, is only 170 miles only take about 5-7 hours with pit stops, I can lead you in my M715 and I would have to drive to Cheyenne first...

This thread stated out with people wanting a meet and greet possibility, I have an option coming up in about two weeks. Near Casper there is a machine gun and cannon shoot and we have an informal get together of those in the area with various trucks and other vehicles - ex military from around...

    Filter Part #'s

I would also add, I have spent my life being a "glorified" mechanic, fixing lots of different things most of which cost a lot more then this truck when it was new. 30 years have gone by now and I am looking to do the traveling when I retire I never got to do for fun while working. I am going to...

    Filter Part #'s

Praying, Hoping, chase vehicle, air mattress and bed tent for chase vehicle, ton of tools...an empty Credit card (the reserve). My father in law was a heavy equipment mechanic, i inherited his tools so I am over salted with large equipment tools, but if you don't have the part...screwed. I am...

    Filter Part #'s

Last estimate I got to get it home was over $2k, I got $1k, before I hit the reserve. $500 for fuel, $400 for a break down still ahead.

    Filter Part #'s

I don't have my truck yet, so I don't even know what the numbers are - I want to have them with me along with the 20 Gallons of oil and so on so that when I pick the truck up, pull the dipstick and get a clue what I am stuck with I can do something about it on the spot. I am finding trouble with...

For a Newbie to these trucks, Can I get everyone to list what they had to repair/service/replace when they got their truck and over the next 12 months

I am thinking it would be nice to land on Yermo with the basics covered, the common and inexpensive parts already purchased and ready to install, the best things to do to make it more livable/survivable for the journey home. Civilian part numbers where possible please! Sources if possible too...

    Filter Part #'s

It would still be great to have alist of the civilian part numbers for oil, air, fuel, coolant filters. Currently all the 204's and 205's are sold out every where. i don't have the wallet to enter the bidding war for the one auction on GP for 7 kits... I want to have the filters I need for when...
