From the looks of that truck..it belonged to the Fms maintenence group,they raise the bows and put back doors on them so they can walk around inside,it will probably have lights and shelves inside,or remenants of where they where..which means the mechanics drove it....if it's anything like the...

Thats a good find..sounds like a M35A3 setup....the only problem with 3116's is they are a bear to set the injectors...when they run good they are really great,,,,,i will see if i can get a copy of the engine manual from work for ya....i'll need to know which serial number engine you have though

After my tach and speedo quit working i pulled the cables the tach was bad and had broken the tip og the cable off at the tach...the speedo cable had bound up in the housing and twisted itself in half....when i put the next cable and tach in i pulled both cables apart,cleaned them and put...

glad they worked out.....those are getting hard to find down there

i'm gonna guess that the paint they used dos'nt hold up well being outside(go figure) you would think they would find something that dos'nt fade so bad.....but it's the same color as the gaurds trucks.......i don't know if it has carc on it or not...the machines we work on look good when we...

I think the 24087 is about as close as your gonna get maybae? If you have a part that still looks good you can take it to a paint shop and have them run a color scanner on it and match the paint.... P.S. Bjorn your headlight rings will be shipping out tommorow

I have to agree here....what i would worry about is the sudden reverse of power back to the tranny from the wheels.....i don't know if anyone else has had it happen but i have had the duece under sliippery road conditions wheel hop...i don't know how much force is applied backwards to the...

How about the guys that did'nt grow up learning on one of these......you could do a lot with a sling a 4x4 and a set of dollies

Or you could use a 7.3 powerstroke with the ford 5 speed with overdrive.....we had them in our little wreckers and they did great....the 550 superduty i drove weighed in at 12,000lbs empty...so on a average it weighed about 16,000lbs when towing a vehicle...of course sometimes it towed trucks...
