i would check where the wire from the starter button goes to the solenoid you may have a bare spot rubbing somewhere....do you hear the solenoid click when you push the button? if you do then it is between the solenoid and the starter...when my starter burnt up last year the solenoid would...

okay i figured it out......4ft side extension on the driveway.....30 ft lenght extension.....and someone to drive it backwards up the lane ....so i can stand in the back and trim the tree limbs rofl

If the knob is stuck are your sure it is screwed all the way down? also under the truck at the rear of the tranfer is the parking brake it also has an adjustment nut on the cable down there.....make sure you chalk the wheels and release the parking brake b-4 adjusting it under the truck

mine is mounted on the trans hump to the right of the shifter...but also has the bracket on the left side behind the drivers seat....i think they moved them from behind the seat when they added seatbelts

I am going to guess that it is the synchronizer check and make sure that the teeth are engaging on the synchro when you change gears
