took the seats out, then took the seats off the mounts used degreaser on them trying to get the wd40 off them from trying to get the bolts out...then tried to explain to my wife why i was using the new dish washer for a parts cleaner:idea:.., i got caught...she wanted to know why the kitchen...
I used Rapco Tan on my cucv, does not have the exact texture as CARC, lot safer to use...
I did not want to contaminate the ground water or area around my wifes horses and family...
The RAPCO goes on really well, just wore a simple dust mask and sprayed it...Cleaned up the mess and went on with...
The CUCVs that were sold a couple months ago at Knox that had the holes cut in the roofs:
Was told by DRMO that they had plywood cut outs hanging on them to make them look like small Russian tanks several years ago...that is why they have hundreds of screw holes as well...

Sanded entire body down, primed and sealed fiberglass roof,started on rust removal. Took seats out, front and rear floor pans came in this week. Sprayed 1st coat of Rapco tan on body to get some color on it...sanded, wire wheeled bumpers, put rapco brown on them. Worked on tail gate, and wire...

Years ago a guy I know had a Baja VW...Left the original key start in place, put a second one mounted under the dash...Could work with the push buttons as well...The original is just a dummy....Cheap and easy.
