well, the tow dolly is hooked up to the Ranger and I am getting up at 5:30 a.m. to get the tools loaded and do the pre-trip checkup on the truck. Plan on leaving at 7:00.
Hope to have pics posted tomorrow evening of the trip. Wish me luck.
Does anyone run Pinion brakes? I am running Willwood Pinion brakes on my Rock Rig and it stops on a dime (actually stops too well). I remember seeing them on some of USA 6x6 rigs but I know how everyone feels about that subject. I ordered many parts from them (which took forever to get) but...
I have a question. Today I was at the trailer/big truck store and eyeballed some rims sitting in their backroom on the rack. They turned out to be 6 lug that would fit the deuce bolt pattern. I priced them and was extremely surprised at the price.
These are rated for fork-lifts and...
Today I picked up my Tow Dolly some fresh tires for the trip to and from Norman. I am going to pull it behind my Ford Ranger down and then use it to put behind the Deuce and pull the Ranger home (Lord Willing!).
I am going to purchase a receiver hitch from work (O'Reilly Auto Parts) that will...
lot #6372 from the event #3348. If you guys can take a look at it for me I would greatly appreciate it. I am hoping all will go well and I can drive it back the 300 miles with Zero issues.
Thanks!
I purchased a Deuce in late May (Norman, OK auction with 95 deuces) and was wondering if anyone else won a deuce at auction and is going up there to pick theirs up this coming week.
I scheduled my pickup for next Friday at 12 noon. I am hoping that mine will run and drive so I can tow my...
I didn't really want to spend money on it. I am sure I am going to have to spend some on my Duece I pick up in Norman, OK once my EUC clears. I never would have thought it would be so difficult to get that thing ok'd. Do they ever take your license picture and say "It looks clear".
I just finished looking at a Gasser Deuce tonight thats been sitting out on a farm for the last 20 years. See below for two pics. My camera started acting up and I was unable to get any more.
What is a good price for a gasser Deuce that has been sitting and does not run and doesn't come...
after reading this entire thread about bobbing the bed I have decided to Bob my new deuce. I have a plasma cutter so cutting the bed/frame and rivets should go quickly. I think I will drill out the holes and bolt the spring brackets. The local junk yard has a parts duece just sitting so I...
I got the lot #6372. I took a gamble on it. It didn't have any engine pictures.
Can't wait to get it picked up and see what I can do with it. Look forward to reading up and learning alot from you guys.
I had a set of those ZF axles. They are geared 22:1. Planetary axles. I had no clue they were so desireable. A guy up in Canada bought them off of me and paid for shipping also. They weighed in at 1500 lbs with the pallet.
I have Rockwell axles under my rock buggie and love them. I have always loved the military dueces since I was a little kid.
I am bidding on two and hope to win one on Wednesday.
Also, in the auctions they do not supply vin#'s or manufacturer tag info. Is there a way to tell if the motor is a...
