    You can buy a timing light for your gasser at Sears, or just about any auto parts stores for that mattter, just hook it up to ONE of your batteries so you only get 12v supplying it.     Again, all the engines (within type) were built under contract and are the same...exact same parts, etc. That was the whole idea...to make evrything completley identical. Manufacturer doesn't matter one bit. Every LDT 465-1c will interchange with every other LDT465 1-c ...and the same goes...

    Wow, sounds like you are good to go! I imagine they also fit something a little more popular than our deuces..whatever it is, I am glad. I'll pick one up next time I am near the NAPA wharehouse in Dublin.

    Let me know how much dinero they are....we didn't replace ours when we did all the other work, old one looked great and ya gotta draw the line somewhere, but I think next spring we will swap all the hoses out. Glad I could help, Fred!

    All the engines were built under contract and are the same, White, Hercules,Continental, etc (within type) so there isn't one manufacturer better than the others. I would avoid a 427 no matter what the manufacterer was. There should be a data plate on the starboard side of the engine, attached...

    FWIW...our deuce had 3" lettering on the bumper and 1" on the windishield when we got it.
