M939 series winch PTO hydraulic pump and drive adapted to M809/M939 series winch to a M809 series 5 ton.

It is the pump designated for the 20K winch. It mounts (on an M939-series truck) inside the frame rail on a 90-degree bracket (I have this also). According to the spec sheet I have, it makes 14GPM at 1200rpm/100psi (I can attach spec sheet later). It is PTO driven. It only requires a filter (I...

    Rick Larsen's Military Stencils

I just ordered some paint masks from Dave. I applied them this past weekend. They are on par with Rick's work.

Militarystencils.com When you pull it up there’s no web store just a banner indicating they are currently closed and not taking orders.

    Rick Larsen's Military Stencils

Does anyone know the status of Rick Larsen's on-line store? I am going through a repaint/refresh and am in need of new bumper numbers. His work has always been of the highest quality and incredibly durable.

M939 series winch PTO hydraulic pump and drive adapted to M809/M939 series winch to a M809 series 5 ton.

As mentioned before, the hurdle is adapting the hydraulic motor mounting to clear the front crossmember. I was going to do the mod after a transmission upgrade. I later decided not to and stick with the mechanical drive. I do have the pump, pump bracket, and the frame mounted oil tank. I also...

Can I register my five ton historically here currently in Ca?

You can drive an HV plated vehicle for maintenance and shows/exhibitions. Maintenance can mean anything from getting fuel to washing it to "exercising"...well...anything that moves. I highly doubt a LEO is going to follow to the pump or washrack. When I drive my truck, someone always stops to...

    Alternator carnage!

Yes. All that is required is the connection of the #5 wire to the positive terminal.

Still hunting for M813 troop seats

I checked their website last night and all those part numbers specific to your style bed are still on it. However, there are no prices listed anymore. https://www.stephanwoodproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Product-list.pdf Yeah, I get it. Plus, even if you do try to reuse the original...

Trying to identify a new purchase 5 ton

I'm going with M61A2 (Its M809-series cousin is the M810). Both models have the same wheel base as their tractor, bolster and dump truck counter parts, but with a slightly long end frame like that of the rare M743/M815 bolster truck. They were frequently fitted with water or oil tanks.

Replacing copper air lines in an 809 series

My M818 has been fully converted to dual circuit air brakes with s-cam rears and M939-series wedges on the front. Plumbing is mostly DOT push-to connect fittings and NT100 nylon air brake tubing. The existing fittings can be used with NT100 if you use the specific tube sleeves, nuts and inserts...

New Member, New M 817 Owner

I second any opinions on fuel lines. These NHC's DO NOT like air in their fuel lines. I replaced all mine with Fragola Series 2000 AN fittings and their black nylon race hose. Also, make sure you check the fuel primer tubing and the o-rings in the fuel primer itself. Classic place to unknowingly...
