i have found the original lead based paint and subsequent red oxide primer to be durable. aircraft stripper usually slows down when it gets there. i stripped an m715 door with it and after the 7th layer the original AIR FORCE (1967) showed through
usmc vehicles did not have stars on them, and markings were in yellow only on the hood and bumpers. not sure if it would have a usmc procurement tag, but i doubt it.
