What is the scoop on those yellow tinted head lights? I assume they are somthing the military dont use anymore? Were there any advantages to useing them, like in fog or rain?????????????
My MOS was 64C20/30 wheel vehicle operator,I think what they called it,and they never said anything about hauling any Jeepes in the back of a Deuce just regular cargo stuff. Must be some guys that have invented some type of ramps maybe? The same idea has crossed my mind before, especially when I...

They are dangerious for sure, mostly after they have been broken down. Remember thats mostly all that was on big trucks, tractors and equipement years ago. There is no problem if assembled correctly the first time. adding more air wont be a problem,if its already seated in the groove. I know...
I dont know how cold it gets where you live, but draining the water out has to be the smart move for starters.
Hey Recovery 4x4, That guy still has the tow bars, and asking $200.00 without the attachments. Is that about right for the price? I dont know anything about what one would cost, but I bet those attachments are not cheap either?
The bulldozer and Tank reminded me of a stunt I saw. A guy took a 113 and ran over his CO's Triump,or a MG,cant remember which, one of those little cars. He ran over it several times and backed over it some, so it was good and flat. I couldnt believe my eyes, he run through a chain link fence and...

The new housing assy with the can, came with a long filter, and it looks about the same size of the secondary filters, just made out of different material. What has me wondering is why use a short filter for the primary, if it will take a long one???? The short filter only takes up half the...
Looks very good, Hope its just a head gasket like he said. I'm a first Deuce owner too, and I would haved liked to have a hard top like you have. Man those shelters are ok, what are they made of?
I have a story about a 10 Tractor in Germany when I was stationes with the 16th Engr. Bn. I got assigned to this critter when I first got there, and I thought it really was a Beast. When it was first cranked up it would smoke like crazy until it got warmed up,especially worse in the winter. I...
Would it help that much to turn the stack so the outlet would be facing more at a 90 degrees away from the cab? Or cut the top off and install a flapper top. So the exhaust would go straight up??<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_nuts.gif"...
In Germany in 1972 our vehicles were painted what looked like that late ww2 OD semi gloss,or that Korean era stuff with out all the brownish tint.
Any of you guys know what color OD that was? everything I saw back then looked like that. I wasnt interested in what kind of paint they were using...
Well I like RAPCO Paint in Texas. Its supposed to be some of that fancy hi-tech stuff, at $25.00 per gallon or $6.00 for spray cans. they have a web site that explains the different shades of OD,plus other colors.
my favorite OD is the late ww2 semi gloss #23070 I also like the 383 green...
I found out what they want for the Halogens, $110.00 for two. Too rich for me, I can live with the stock type for now.
This is what they said: H4 bulbs, 24v at 75 watt, requireing no relays. I dont know what H4 bulbs mean unles its the...
