You can also take off the door and dump it is a tub of vinegar to remove the rust then coat it with Rustoleum Heavy Rust primer. Just make sure to wash it out good and let it dry before priming. A heat gun will speed up dry time. Hey Clinto where did you buy that crane in your avitar?

I would put the truck up on jack stands run the truck to determine if the noise is definitely coming from the transfer case. Some noises can resonate through the driveline making it seem as if the noise your hearing is in the TC or you can disconnect the driveline at the output yoke of the TC...

The cummins 8.3 6cta engines are severly derated. In a motor home I've seen them as high as 325hp from the factory. They are very capable of making BIG numbers in HP and longevity. The 8.3 on a few boat sites with ratings as high as 475hp, all before the electronics of course their cooling...

It would be cheaper to modify an A3 to look pretty that it would be to update an A2.
