I like the creativity of being able to build that truck. It might not be for everyone, but I like it just on being able to take on the challenge. I really hope to see another one in a 5 ton version.
If only I had the skills and the finances to build a truck like one of those trainers. You...
Try to push down on your transfer case range selector lever located next to the driver seat make sure that the button on the lever is not stuck, it being pushed in will cause the engine to die out as soon as you put it in gear.
Call up 100Dollarman - Military Surplus Home! talk to Mark he has a flat bed that he uses. Good guy to deal with and has reasonable prices on parts and tires.
OK, looks like it might be some type of attachment for the gun turret. Here is the link Navistar Defense
There appears to be an mounting point that comes out from under the cab that attaches to the frame rail then at the back it would bolt to the bed. That does not seem very sturdy, but not...
NO, NO and NO. The tracks will not last, it would not be street legal. Just think about if one of those tracks were to fall off at 55 mph and hit someone on the fwy what lawsuit you would have on your hands, those tracks were not meant to go that fast. You would not be able to register it. Oh...

Here is a picture from another thread on here. It's kind of hard to see without getting some better close up pictures how that cage is mounted to the frame. It looks to be some pretty thick tubing.
Oh man, I would have flipped my lid. Good job on taking it to through the proper channels and not getting put in jail for something silly like disturbing the peace.
I kind of forget how big it is until you see it next to a deuce. I have a M925A2, like the way it drives, but it takes turns like the Titanic that's what's expected from a big truck. Nice truck. Does the CTIS work on yours.
What would be good if does go for sale all of the SS members pitch in to buy it, then we would all have somewhere to bug out to. It would also be a good meeting point for a Rally a couple of times a year.
I saw a blacked-out M923A2 at Barstow. I asked the guy at the GL about it he didn't seem to know why the truck was there or why it was painted like that. Must have been used for some night time op's.
