Get a quote from an old school Rad shop. If it's a bad seam no problem. If tubes are pinched off and the cores are solid, just get a Civvy 4 core rad off a Suburban. Make sure to toss a tranny cooler onto that thing. It will save you a lot of problems later. (Don't ask how I know ... it was...
Do you have the TMs? Some are here, some are on Militarytrucks.ca A buddy has an almost restored one (bad rear main seal ...) If you have real problems, I will try to pass along your questions. Keep us updated on your progress.
Ask Rob Love on Mapleleafup.net . I never saw one of these, but I tried to keep distance from the MPs .... unless I had to get my course candidates out of custody.
Are you OK? These things hit hard sometimes, and even though this is a delayed reaction ....
Take good care of yourself. Remember the good times. The rest is just prop wash.
M 211 for sure. the 135 had a lower bed with fenderwells, so it was easier for troops to climb into. Looks not bad, Unknown trucks always make their first ride on a trailer .... it is way cheaper that way!
Follow this thread. http://www.militarytrucks.ca/mlvw.htm
The TM is at the end right click on the PDF... Save as ...
Adjust size to fit your truck. They worked really well for us!
If the link doesn't work for you, I will try to figure out how to upload to our TM section.
Pics of complete...
I'm ruuning in Low Range tonight, but my wrench basher just informed me that it is time to refurb the ignition system.
Points, condensor, wires, cap & rotor.
I see that there is a current post on SS for Autolite NOS Spark Plugs ...
Could you repost the link to the list that you guys put...
I learned something new to me today. One of my old soldiers and I were talking about the problems that I encountered with the truck .... fuel, ignition ... what came up was the fact that our fuel filler caps have 3 distinct settings. Fill (open), Run (vented) and Fording (Sealed).
If you crank...
Gun Ring is a BIG No-No. ITAR will not let them out of CONUS.
A buddy brought one back in to USA for a show.
Trip south, no prob... coming back home ... very interesting!
There are a few MV types around Vancouver, so if Murphy appears within driving distance, you can shoot me a PM. I'll see who I can round up.
Have a good trip.
Take plenty of Pics!
If you had to sign an EUC to get it, to send it up to us you have to go through someone who holds an export licence. Eastern Surplus or Idaho Motor Pool can help, but remember that they do this for a living ... so they will charge a fee.
No EUC and not controlled by ITAR ... Ca$h works!
It isn't going to be cheap, but I noticed this in our classifieds. No affiliation with seller.

Only Super Dave has "Better than Original" trucks. M1010 Dough Boy is getting close, and now has a pretty good fleet too!
Make the truck mechanically right, and put a 10 foot splash job on it ... it looks good from 10 feet!
That way you won't be afraid to have kids crawl into it for photos...
I'm posting this for our local members, and the voyeurs in the group.
August 25, in North Vancouver. PM me for details, and RSVP, so that I can reserve the right amout of parking space.
We are currently at 6 MV's and the MKT (we gotta eat too!).
We will also be doing several static displays...
I'm not a skilled wrench basher, but go back to this old thread. The knowledge base rests with these guys, particularly "Major Tom".
