Good to see you back. I followed your posts, but didn't have anything smart to add. So what is the new ride? Enquiring minds want to know. And then how are you going to make it better than delivered ... Again!

M35 dash in an m215? Trouble finding electrical fittings

Do you have all of the TMs ? If i can hook into a quicker connection, I'll try to post what I have. Maybe some one who is more able can beat me to it. If not, I'll put what I have on flash drive and ship it to PATRACY. I think that Gilles, Butch, Gunfreak and M1010 getting stuck in the muck...

Canada - Prairies - (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba)

I might help if we knew which part of Canada you are in. Yes, trucks are available, but as this is a rather large country, shipping can be costly.

    New from Canada

Need some more info. Where abouts in Vermin are you? I spent a summer in **** at VMC/ VACC.

    M211's Alive!!

Sounds good. You may have a little valve noise, but run it a bit and see if it quiets down. If not, pop the cover and adjust as per the TM. If the fuel pump is FUBAR ed, I covered that in a previous post, so just search my posts, and it is explained. Butch did a better job of it than I. I think...

    My '54 M211 needs a gasket set!!

Try this guy. brian.asbury@sympatico.ca He had a fair stock of NOS. Otherwise, Memphis or Alfa Heaven. Report back your results. If you are really stuck, I was told of a guy in Ontario Canada who might has some, but he's hard to get ahold of.

    Cupholder Suggestions

The fold up holders aren't worth the powder to blow them to Iraq. Freightliner makes some good ones for an angled dash, but for anything else, M series included, I use a chunk of plastic pipe, with an end cap on it. (Just big enough to fit your cup. Foam will snug it up). The more securely...

    Eastover, South Carolina

Shouldn't have to say this, but unless you want to get scooped (And we can't post active auction links) a request for inspection and PM the details would probably not encourage others to covet the toys that you wish to buy.

Are there AWD all the time deuces?

Get the M36, but put the plow onto a shorter unit. Unless you are cleaning an airfield, you won't like the turning radius. Price is great.

How do I disengage air brakes?

Do you really wonder why? Educate, not humiliate.

Are there AWD all the time deuces?

All that you have to remember about a Sprage Tcase, is that you can Never allow the truck to roll backwards when the tranmission is set for FWD motion, and the opposite... If you do that, you are in rebuild mode. Great simple system, but with less than fully trained operators ... expensive...

On the way to get a WC-63

I'm waiting for Wreckerman to post up, saying that he "Can't Get Nothing" What an incredible find. Very few were made, and even less have survived the scrappers. The support troop that you have behind you are worth almost as much as the truck. Try to make PB and the Camo crew work for their...

    My M135 Quad cab

I suppose that you could drop an M135 body onto an M35 drive train, but unless you already have the parts and an unlimted labor source .... Not sure that it's worth it unless you want bragging rights.

Separating water from oil without a heat source?

In Florida, I would just use a black drum for heat. You can get a cheap 12 V pump to run it through your strainers a couple of times, and then push it through some progressively smaller Racors. I wouldn't use an immersion heater, you want to heat to medium, not boil it! On your solar heating...

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

It won't give you instant gratification, but get out the rattle can, and make them match your truck. It's way easier than making your truck match them. If it's worth doing, It's worth doing right .... the First Time!

Getting the old girl started again

These thing don't crank fast in the best of times. If batteries and connections are good, how is the spark? Blue? What happens if you shoot WD40 into the intake? Need some more details. I have fought through a couple of problems with the one we have, and there are much more experienced...

How do I disengage air brakes?

As for the spring parking brakes, you will find a odd looking bolt on the side of each brake pot. It goes in the hole in the back of each pot. YOU WILL HAVE NO BRAKES ONCE THIS IS DONE... DANGER CLOSE! Chock the wheels of the unit before attempting this. Ensure that which ever tow vehicle...

    My M135 Quad cab

Unless you have a soft top and gun ring, forget the original bench companion seat. 2 drivers type seats on Air Ride and a functional console are a much more civilised idea.
