Check all battery connections and get out a meter to check voltages. A few pictures might help, so we know what truck you are playing with. Get a shot of the Data Plate on the dash, and the bright boys can give you better advice.
thanks for doing your bit to help.
WSUCOUGARX had it half right.
Every now and then we get some good gear up here.
When I first saw that mount, all that I could think, was ...
Crap, That makes sense.
That didn't come out ot OUR supply chain!
It did, and it just worked!
If you tried to mount the FN C1 A2 (full auto...
That would be a "Duckling" , and just an affront to everything that is right.
Chopping a good truck in half is just wrong to me.
If you can't handle it, sell it and get something that fits what you want.
The mounting point on the MLVW (CDN M35) and M135 / M211 was in the corner of the back wall of the cab.
On M38 and Ilitis jeep wannabe's it was on the floor pan, on the outer side of the seat, without the butt pad. (SMG only)
The mount was designed so that it could hold the Fabrique Nationale...
There are some knowledgable guys on this site: CDN Ferret scout cars - MLU FORUM
They have many other Ferret threads, so happy surfing!
I know that several of them actually bashed wrenches on these beasties,
While we still had these units in service.
You learned from our mistake. 3 1/2 to 4 PSI seems to work well. The bleed back hole works like a preassure bypass in a fuel injected system, but if you don't know that it's there ... you won't drive far!
The PSI Reg shouldn't cost more than $10.oo from NAPA
I have nothing smart to add,
but here is the link to the Bible on these systems.
I'm sure that you have already seen it,
but for the others, Here it is!

Another note:
With our new fuels that include an Ethanol content,
make sure that whatever pump that you use has the newer Viton or equivalent parts in it.
This is of importance to the M37 ,M715 and the rest of the Gasser crowd.
NOS Diaphram fuel pumps don't work on modern gas.
A buddy...
Brian and Simon (the mechanical brain of this operation) put a regulator in line, just BEFORE the under hood fuel shot off petcock. I think that they set if for 4 psi.
Make sure that your fuel pump is wired to the ignition switch, and being a gasser, you know that Fire Extinguishers (Yes...
There are more than a few parts trucks in your neck of the woods. These were frequently used by loggers and farmers. I know of a couple of carcasses up by PG, and if you talk to the oldtimers in your area, you should find what you are looking for.
There is one in the Vancouver area, but...
Bar code and data tag posted. Remove the power connections from your in tank pump, and tag into the replacement pump. Get an in tank filter from a large chain saw or ride on mower to use as a pick up feed.
The original pick up is designed for a preassure fed system,
not a suction based...
Tom, I just taked with Regimental Sargeant Major Ron Snellgrove. He said that he would be happy to get your box of parts to Mesa Az. He is going down for a little bit of desert warmth!
If you get the chance, pop up to meet him. Cool guy!
So you can now say that your project has had...
USA items the went off shore are really hard to bring back. Gov't does not want to deal with it. Some parts can be brought home but not much.
You are going to give your lawyer a lot of money for this project.
Get a carcass here, and then try to bring back bits.
It may go easier, and you...
Side note:
If your in tank fuel pump on the M135 ever goes out, buy the rebuild kit .... if you can find it!
Otherwise, you CAN plumb an inline pump, but you MUST replace the fuel pick up foot.
It has got a built-in pressure relase passage, which will not allow an external unit to function...
I have long since given up on deadlines. Which ever truck is ready for the parade will be in it. I have no qualms about red tagging a unit.
Ancilliary stuff like getting the nice to have items operational, is not a front line priority for me. BUT, we get it done at the first opportunity...
Snow? WTF ? We haven't had our first frost out here yet.
Rain is coming in,
but I have got the worst of the exterior stuff done on the MKT.
The M36A3 is due back from the movies tonight,
So now we just polish stuff up for Rememberance Day.
The M135 just wants a bath and the M105 is in...
