I have towed the M1102 with the M923A0 and don't remember any problems getting it hooked up. Towing is nothing, truck doesn't even know it is back there. It is also a bit of a challenge to back up. I knew it was jackknifed and thought I only needed to go a foot, managed to put a nice ding on...
Daniel, take your tech manual or go by a trucking outfit or solid waste facility and get a certified weight slip on your truck. I think last truck that I had a SF97 for, they looked at the bill of sale, SF97 and I had the manual with the weight and they did the job right then and there. Have...
Finished the new boots on the M923 and a drivers side tie rod end too. Plus had to replace the rt. front turn signal can. Mine was full of water and heavily corroded. Turn signal works again. Wow!
I have the g177's and the guys at the truck shop have me running 90/80. I know that is more than it says on the TP on the side for the backs, but that is what they suggested. And they know my truck pretty much just does highway or parades.
We did a display in Longchamps about 4 years ago. That was the area held by the 502. The villagers invited us for dinner on Sunday evening. One of the men left and came back with a worn Garand. He had picked that rifle up from the battlefield when he was a youth. What an experience to hold...
We went and did a Combat Veterans Motorcycle Assoc. Toys for Tots event in Lacey on Saturday. Even with bad weather, they did a pretty good job filling two and a half trucks with toys. We had an M923, M923A1 and M928.
Anyone doing Bastogne this year? If you are out and about, I will be helping with a 17th Airborne display at Flamerige. That is a small village on the outskirts of Bastogne, on 16 - 18 DEC. We will be set up in the small church. Stop by and say hi. If you haven't made this event before, it...
This was a fun trip. I hauled the 1944 Bedford from Seattle to Chicago for drop off. Took a couple days with family and joined back with them in Springfield Illinois for a couple of days. We were having a charging problem with the Bedford. Its generator didn't like to go so slow, so it died...
My situation is still in doubt for Saturday. I am running for office and need to be political that day. Ed probably around 0700 to 0830 you should be okay.
I am torn this year as they are going to do an event in my home town. Would like to show them how it is done, but will most likely be in Auburn. We have to have been doing that parade for nearly 20 years now.
This event is not so much for military vehicles, but they have reserved the lot in front for MV's in the past. This is a fund raiser for the Museum and is a good chance to get together and talk about military stuff, for the day. time is 1000 - 1600, cost is $5 dollars regular admission and $10...
Hello Team. If you would like to light up your vehicle and turnout for this event, please come and join us. I will take care of parade registration. Meet at my house about 1400 to hang lights and glitter on the trucks. Will make some hamburgers before we shove off for the parade lineup about...
Hello Team, if any of you are interested in joining in, we have a registration for the parade under the "Friends of Willie and Joe". If you are not participating with another group and would like to do the parade, let me know. We should be in place by 0900. If you are bringing a bigger...
The VIN is probably a matter of definition as you do have a serial number on the data plate. Look on WSP website, FAQ's. First question is about VIN numbers, where it says that a VIN is a unique Serial number. Be patient and read the rules, you will prevail.
What seems to be the issue? I had a problem with an M923, but I didn't have a piece of paper from the auditors office when I went, so the inspector was in a snit.
Yes Twin jets with Detroits pushing them. We think they will do about 32 knots. Depends on size of crew. Normal compliment is four. Boat number two is coming along. Interior of hull is painted and they are working on wiring and cables before engine and pump installation. By this time next...
