    Camo Pattern Options

I know this should be a no brainer, but I want to be sure. In the TM each color has a number, what color goes with what number?

    Iola Vintage Military Show 2011

The boy and I will be there again this year. At least this year we will have our deuce.

    newer deuce

When I picked up my 71 Deuce it had new fenders on it and those fenders were coated with the rust proof stuff. I believe it's the one thing there is that CARC will not stick to. All of the paint on those parts flaked right off, very easy to prep for paint.

Curing time for Gillespie paint (Rapco)

Well I got my paint on Thursday. I ordered 4 gallons of green and 6 rattle cans of brown from Rapco. I have my deuce and eventually an M105A2 to get painted in 3 color. I read in an earlier thread, and can't seem to find it again, about using hardner with the GCI paint. Has anyone tried this...

Myself, the two youngest kids for sure and maybe the wife and oldest chile will be there. Looking forward to it.

    Sparta, WI auctions + moving

I don't want to tinkle on your parade here, but it's not a wise idea. EUC's take a long time to clear and traveling that far in a Deuce will take many stops. Stops for fuel($4+ a gallon at the moment), and rest for you. They aren't the fastest or most comfortable mode of travel. Don't get me...

    Poof Stock 2011

If all goes well I should have a nice brandy new paint job, on the bed of my deuce at least.

Well, I blew it up on the way home.

Maybe you need to try changing the filters to spin ons.

Curing time for Gillespie paint (Rapco)

Here is the question I would like to pose to all of you with experience. How many gallons of Rapco vs CARC to paint a Deuce. Not the whole frame and axles, just the front clip, cab and bed. Let's go with and without doing the inside of the bed. Thank you

    Poof Stock 2011

I am bringing the chicken and potatoes, Greg is bringing the trailer full of ice. I think poof was getting the shrimp. Didn't dozenjeeps say he was bring the trailer full of beer? I have next weekend in town and the following weekend I am going the Jackson, MI, so if we need another food...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I removed the "built" cargo cover and got it into the shop. Now I can start the prepping it for a fresh coat of paint. I also discovered I have lots of damaged side post and a rotted out bow. They screwed the cover to all the uprights and bows. Needeless to say a lot of the screws broke off...

    Poof Stock 2011

I just got mine into the shed. Thinking about sprucing it up a bit before poofstock. But just like a woman trying to decide on an outfit I am trying to decide on paint type. To CARC or not to CARC, that is my question.

Curing time for Gillespie paint (Rapco)

So let's get down to brass tacs here. I've been told it's a good idea to use hardner in the Gillispe paint, however, doing so will make it a bit more "glossy". That would take care of the soft paint issue though. CARC is "original" depending on the period you wish to represent and it can be...
