    Alvis Acorn/ Scarab Hi old post but I have just bought this! Its an Alvis Acorn prototype to the Scarab Unimog running gear Built in South Africa and trailed all over Its a 1994 one and very quirky! Let me know if you need another info. Tony

    ignition coil blew up today...

    I had it happen to a 1943 ford of mine I parked the Jeep had parked it and left the ignition switched on. I went to pick up another vehicle and whilst away the coil blew. The guys keeping an eye on the vehicles thought that it was a joke I had set up:) a loud bang and loads of smoke!

    Now that the Mutt is registered for the road in the UK I took her out for a spin. It was -1C a cold but fun run out. Popped into the farm for a quick offroad play. First time out with with M416 behind and it towed a treat:D
