Just had an email from Ken the Muttguru and it seems that company called Milplus did a locker conversion for the rear diff on the mutts. This would seem to be an electric actuator for the diff lock. I will have a look and see if the diff has a locker in it. would make it better in the rough...

Couple of pictures of the offending item now off the mutt. It seems to be some sort of solenoid. unit pulls wire back about 1inch Not sur if it was some form of locker for the diff??? No markings at all on the unit the welds to the bracket are rough and the plate aint square.

I will drag the Mutt out over the weekend and get a few better pictures/maybe even remove it and see what it does? It looks like the 2 wires at the rear of the unit power it and a thick wire cable coming out of the bellow end. I wonder if its some kind of actuator to pull something:neutral:

My Mutt went in today for its First mot test whilst up on the ramp and having a good look around found the item in the picture anyone know what it is? It is fitted just behind the rear bumper/ rear crosmember 2 wires to it and one coming out.

Just got my one here in the UK its a 1965 built by Johnson Furnace Co Will look great behind my Mutt when they are both painted. Hmmmm 3 or 4 colour camo? which should I go for?

Its not a bad 90 but a Walter one (civi one done for a film job done well though) but so slow with a 2.5na diesel even the Mutt is quicker:? Be nice in the States!!! up for sale, now I have the Mutt.

We over here in the UK drive on the proper side of the road:razz: So I will need to put English headlights in. The beam always bends to the side of the road not to dazzle oncoming traffic.

What you guys dont think it will look good with low profiles on? My car has 235/35/18 tyres as standard and a space saver :( so took a tyre with us to Germany just in case as it was a 1500 mile drive. When I strip it down for paint I will post a couple of pictures of the disc brake set up. Not...

Not sure if they bought some or were lend lease. I bought it from a mate in Germany a quick 15oo mile trip to southern Germany and back. Just need to change lights to RHD ones and a bit of tidying up the get it registered and tested for the road. She will make a nice little run about. Tony

Did the same thing over here a few years ago with a Saracen APC Qwik fit had a deal on £12.99 for up to 1200cc £15.99 for up to 2000cc and £18.99 for over 2000cc. Said they couldnt do it because they couldnt get the filters so said its ok they are in the back.:D

Good fun to have one, good fun to drive, good for the wow factor but they cost to move are a pain to work on as most stuff needs the pack out not to bad on a truck but a real pain on armour.
