Sorry to hear you can't make it up. There are not too many places like this left and the county is doing their best to run him out of town too or at least out of business.
Don't quite understand the question, but Brad's is about a mile past the restaurant or less. Do you want to tag up there with me or just meet you up there?
Looks like 3 to 5 of us. Don't know the name of the restaurant, but it is on the corner of 507 and 702, just down the street from Brad's. We are planning on being there at 1130.
Rolling18, if you want to go along, would be glad to meet you at exit 82, I-5 northbound. Call me for a time and...
Anyone interested in a hamburger on Saturday? 1130! The 1st Sgt. and I are going to the hamburger joint at the Y in McKenna and then go over to Brad's toy store when we are done eating. Have checked in and he is planning on being around Sat. We will be taking the 5T's out for a drive for this...
They usually have the WW2's inside and it depends on how many tables they have. They usually aren't too keen on putting a helicopter or P51 outside so we can have indoor MV parking. This is just an option for us, if we want front row parking and free entry, its available if we make arrangements.
Have they made a policy choice on these vehicles yet? Yes they are for sale, no they are not (at least not in one piece). It looks like another batch of nice looking vehicles isn't going to the auction block, but to the shredder block. Why sell them for 5 or 10 grand apiece when you can get a...
If you mean at McChord? I don't know, they have been anti military displays there for the last couple of Airshows. The problem at McChord is that the staff changes every couple of years so they don't keep continuity for the Airshow. At Ft. Lewis, they run Armed Forces Day through MWR and...
Hello Team,
Wanted to get this on your calendars. 4 July 2015 we will be doing a display at Borst Park, just of Exit 82 on Interstate 5 in Washington. There will be a display starting at 0800 to 1230, we will go to my house for lunch, then about 1430 we will head over to line up for the parade...
Hello Team,
Any of you interested in showing your vehicles at AFD JBLM this year, on 16 May? I will be putting in a registration when they send them out. Let me know and if you aren't going in with another group, I will get you on the list. You have to be registered for this event for base...
Hello Team, as in the past, I will put a registration in for us this year under the Friends of Kilroy banner. Any Steel Soldiers are welcome to participate. More details to come as it gets closer.
One thing that I am trying to get the parade folks to do this year, is to declare all WW2...
Hello Team, anyone interested in displaying your MV at the 14 March military show? I stopped and talked with them today at the museum and they would be happy to have us. They will reserve the parking lot in front of the museum for MV parking and you will get free show admission. So far we...
I use a small plastic box that sits right in front of the passenger seat box. It does slide a bit, so if that is an issue, I put a small towel or rag under it and that takes care of the sliding. It holds up to six cans or water bottles and a few pens. I painted it with the Behr Desert tan...
I use the M886 mostly for storing the military tents. But it nice to drive a vehicle that goes 60 without strain, has wipers and heater that work, and there aren't too many stock M886's around. Finally got the power steering in and put some newer tires on it too. The air dam over the cab had...

My dad got an M38A1 surplus in about 1967 plus or minus a bit and I was hooked. Got my first MV, M38A1 29 years ago and have had it ever since. It started with me with 4800 miles and now has a little over 12,000. They are a good solid dependable easy maintenance MV. Someone on here said...
