I went with a 65 in hub face to hub face with steel 16x8s from Jegs. They were roughly $50 each and have a 4in offset. This setup fits perfectly. If you go with less than a 4in offset, you can always use spacers. I went with a 5200lbs as the axle diameter is the same as factory. ABC is...
I have the combo hitch on my truck with the 2in ball. I don't care for it as I run M101A1 and there is ALOT of slop when towing. It bangs around more than just a standard pintle. I am currently looking for another set up.
I am in the same boat as you. I took my original bow and cover off, but am looking for a shorter canvas. I am not going to go flat like yours though. I chopped my bow to 1/4 of the original height and plan to put a canvas over that.
Need some help with this one. I am 99% sure I am right, but need to double check. I have my eye on a M116 Pioneer tool trailer (smaller box, Vietnem vintage) for dirt cheap. The problem is I will have to travel 500 miles one way to get it. I plan on taking all the usual equipment (magnetic...
As another states, the 5.56 has plenty of power to go through. If using the M855 green tip, it is well capable of going through 3/8 plate steel. However, that hole does look a little large
If your going to keep the stock axle I would just go to a smaller tire. I am in the works of building a hunting trailer rig out of an M101A1., I canned the stock axle and tires. The OEM tires were close to 36in. I end up getting 265/75/16E BFG's and they are 31.7in. It dropped it low...
I am getting ready to do an axle conversion on my M101A1. I will have a couple brake handles that will be coming off and they are in exc shape. If your interested, let me know
When my computer took a dumps a few months back, my favorites list went with it. I had found a place that had replacement GI red and amber reflectors but I can no longer find it. In particular, they sold the tan ones. Do any of you guys know a place that does sell tan ones??
It looks like someone smacked it a few times on the thread end to get it out. I managed to get the nut off, but now it will not go back on. As hard as it is to find a lunette nut, I don't want to risk cross threading it. The very first threads are smushed. They seem to be beyond clean up
I need some help guys. The threads on my lunette are dinged up and I cannot get the nut back on. I have been looking high and low for a replacement lunette but cannot find one for the correct size. I purchased one from Oshkosh, but it is way too big. My trailer is stuck into the garane until...
I finally decided to get rid of the axle on my M101A1. I am really looking to get rid of the split rims and the expensive NDT tires. This will also allow me to dump some weight off of the thing. I have been looking high and low for a A2 or A3 axle, but none can be found. It looks like a need to...
New guy signing in. Just recovered my M101A1 but ran into a problem. It seems that down the line my M101A1 lunette threads took a beating and now my nut will no longer go on. Is there an online vendor that sells the lunette?
