    Sorry to pester you. The 56ohm resistor wattage and % I don't know. There are several different ones on Ebay. I am assuming the 5406 diode is 3- amp 600 volts. Does the resistor or diode need to be first from the switch? Ordered the Advr-054. If you can help me with the two other...

    Who can repair a voltage regulator for a mep-004? Cr 7 and cr8 diodes burnt ,cr22 and a couple of others don't look healthy. It's a new year and still working on the generator. Thanks, Mike

    Unit would not crank. Lowered control panel. Terminal is separated from switch, rivet broken. Prior to finding this I was having trouble getting the gen to produce power unless switch was held up. Thanks for your reply, Mike

    Thanks guys. I have very little experience with this gen set, it has been fine since 2011 when I purchased it. I'll check the regulator. One more question, does the dc power for this come from the alternator on the engine or from the generator?

    mep004 no output voltage unless starter switch is held up. Ran fine last time. Any ideas where to start looking?
