This is correct, I ran the system at rated speed for 15 Min to warm things up, then applied the load.(I read too many threads here about not idling before I got my gens)
I plan on trying to get my hand on an AC current meter to verify the actual current load being applied. Then I will get...
I got to load test the 1600hr generator today, Santa brought 4 1500 Watt ceramic heaters. So I made a power cable with 4 twin outlets hooked it up to the generator. The unit fired right up with no problems, after letting it warm up for 15 minutes I started turning on the heaters, to the low...

Why is it that you ask a question, and as soon as you do you find the answer...
I was just looking around GL in the Misc. sections and .....LOOK... there is Camp Pendelton listed for several items......So I guess i answered my own question.aua
I have watched GL and GSA for some time, and have noted that not all government sites are being represented.
When I was stationed at Camp Pendelton they had auctions 3 or 4 time a year, of course, that was in the 70's and you had to actually be there to bid.
So are there other auction...
Great news! I thought my EUC would clear fast because I used to have a secret clearance with Uncle Sams Misguided Children. But alas it took almost exactly 90 days.
Glad you're here!

Now that I have the generators running, I thought I would like to fix up the little things. The trailer covers are in need of replacement, but I have been unable to find replacements. I can find places that will custom make covers but the quote I received for a replacement cover was...
I just bought a new glow for my MEP-002A, it had a champion CH-49 installed, the champion part number is CHA-196. I bought mine from Amazon $48 but Napa had is as well for the same price but it had to be shipped in and they wanted $8 shipping fee's added...
I finally got to fire up the second unit, the new glow plug arrived, so I installed it and put the batteries in place. It’s 30 deg outside so it took a little longer than I expected. But it finally fired and came up to speed. After letting it warm up for about 10 minutes I got out my 2 brand new...
If the 3" is too long a 2" should do the trick, or even just a short nipple and still have enough to clamp. If however I have to, I can move the strainer back by bolting it a piece of flat stock then attach the flat stock to the original mounting holes. (Necessity is the mother of invention)
I...
Thanks all
My brother is an electrician, he came and looked at my setup. His first question was why wasn't I dead. :cookoo: My house is a very old Victorian and some of the wiring is knob and tube, but most is BX. Anyway he is getting the supplies I need, and though he has grumbled a lot he...
I was planning on buying two units, and using a 3/4 x 3" long pipe to join them. Then use a pipe saddle clamp, attach them to the plate where the original filters attached, then adapt the ends back to flare and use the original fuel lines on both ends.
There is a Fram and WIX cross reference...
Well now, that's interesting. I have been contemplating replacing my fuel filters with the spin on type, since the oil filter has already been adapted. I guess I'm not going for the original look.
The spin on adapter kit I was going to buy costs $20 would you be interested in one of the ones...
I introduced myself in the New members section, but I thought I would let you know where things stand with my units. The two Mep-002A’s I purchased on July 23 and picked up Oct 22, were listed as G-7 (Missing parts). It seems the missing things were small parts, springs in the oil canister...
I've posted a few times but forgot to announce my presence.
Hello! My name is Jay, I've had a M416 since 95, but I have been trying to get a generator from GovLiquidation for several years. Usually the bid would go above $500 which was my limit. Finally this past July there was a listing...
