private messages full even though I delete some.

If you scroll down to the bottom of your inbox it will tell you how many messages you have versus how many you can have. I think a premium membership allows you more messages, being a vendor certainly does. Maybe if you were a premium member in the past that allowed you more messages, and now...

32nd Annual MVMVC Weare Rally July 25th-27th 2019

Anyone else going to be at the show? I’ll be vending in the far corner of the field opposite the entrance. I can bring almost anything I have listed for sale in the classifieds, and if anyone is looking for the big 20mm ammo cans I can bring those along too. $10 per can, or 12 cans for $100...

    New m108 Crane Truck Project

I didn’t really want to spend any money on this project yet but I figured I’d better buy the crane specific parts when I had the chance. An F600 with an m108 bed came up for sale and I was able to get it. The crane was installed when the truck was new, and I guess it was on another civilian...

    New m108 Crane Truck Project

That’s a very generous offer, but I’ll probably end up getting something in the Northeast eventually. I think I’ll try to find an m35 parts truck since I could use the axles too.

    New m108 Crane Truck Project

Well... it didn’t take as long as I thought it would to get some of the “hard to find” parts I needed.

What does this Budd lug wrench fit?

I have a couple of those as well. The NSN shows up in the m911 TM.

Freightliner or other commercial chassis road tractor?

M915 series? The m915a2 was the first freightliner design.

    Cucv ii 99k 559

Nice CUCV II, my old gasser Tahoe was converted to 12 volt only as well. I installed a factory center console from my local junkyard in mine.

Thinking about getting a M275 have some questions.

I believe right around 1966 was the last year for the reversible headlight panels and low headlights on non winch trucks. Unlike the later trucks with the rubber isolators on the headlight buckets the gassers and early multifuels had rubber isolators on the mounting panel which can be rotated...

    New m108 Crane Truck Project

You should buy the other m108 in that yard and they can go on the same truck to my place. It's a project but not as big a project as mine! I'm not sure yet what will happen as far as the engine but I'll keep that in mind. I have a set of almost mint gasser fenders and an NOS gasser...

    New m108 Crane Truck Project

So here's a little bit of backstory on this truck which will explain why I had to have it instead of any old m108. I can trace the history of it back around 30 years to at least 3 owners right now, and it's been in the same condition (more or less) since then. I'm at least the 3rd and...

    New m108 Crane Truck Project

This 1953 Studebaker needs a little bit of work, and it's missing a lot of parts. I'll get a better idea of the extent of the project once it's in the yard, but if it does get fixed up there won't be a whole lot of original parts on it other than maybe the crane, frame, and springs. All of the...

    M35A3 Camper "Junkyard Empire"

Well, that looks just like I figured it would.

Will a civilian 6.2L ignition switch work on a cucv M1028?

If your dad never changed the ignition cylinder then you don't need to buy one. Someone here on the site will probably mail you the key for free, seeing as we all have it. If your dad never changed the ignition cylinder or the door locks then you already have the key.

M39 series vs. M809 series questions on PTO and transmission

They're the same, the part number is found in the parts books for both series of trucks.

Will a civilian 6.2L ignition switch work on a cucv M1028?

I guess I'm a little lost here. From the factory CUCVs have only one key that fits both the doors and the ignition. If you have a standard CUCV ignition cylinder you can easily get a key. To actually answer the question yes a civilian ignition switch works fine (which I guess you would have...

    M105 Stakes for M101A2?

They’ll fit with a little room to spare. Since the m105 stakes are smaller if you want to use bows you’ll have to either modify m101 bows to fit the stakes, cut down m105 bows to fit the width of the trailer, or use the newer all metal bows.

    M818 Steel Hard Top Question

If it's a complete top then it's a two person job. If you unbolt the back panel from the top then you might be able to do it yourself. They're pretty hefty.

    1953 M37 vin

The number on the data tag should match the one on the frame.

    AN/TSQ-217 S/A Electronics Trailer

I had one just like that in the yard a few years ago. Like mentioned it's just typical m116a3 chassis, although I don't remember a dataplate saying so.
