I'm guessing it is going to fit inside the big hole.
Normally you would have the bearing support structure to mount the bearing too.
Without it your going to have to come up with some way to support it.

Does your roof have a hole in it already ?
Does the bearing you have fit inside the hole?
I'm guessing you replaced the fuel filter , air filter, oil filter and did all the PM's as soon as you got it home?
Or did you just put fuel in it and drive it?
you have installed something wrong. or you need to lift the lock mechanism up on your Rhino to allow it to swing past 90 degree's.
It will lock at the 90 degree point this may be what your experiencing

I made an aluminum panel that basically protects the window glass when the window is open.

You should be safe with that weight calc. for just the roof with the secondary layer of steel.
You may find that the sealant between the sheet metal roof and the bearing support doesn't allow it to separate very easily if your just trying to lift the sheet metal . What type of hatch is on...
