    HELP M818 down

Well as fate would have it, my EUC for my trailer cleared Friday, so I took the M818 out for good test run this morning. About an hour round trip. Half way through the trip I was getting back on the interstate and noticed in 4th gear it was loosing power. This lasted about 10 seconds and then...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Don't give up yet Kenny, most of us are still looking around in our back yards for stuff we can offer up. I would like some 14.5's. I can't think of anything I would do with them, but I would like some. I think they would look nice on the front of a 5 ton with 11.00's on the back. What...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Since I just happen to be home in the middle of the day for a few minutes, let me share a few more thoughts. First off, it appears we have a great relationship with the folks at Durahmtown. That's always a plus. Second, this is not anybodies fault involved with the rally. We should look at...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I for one would not be affected by moving the date, but I think most people would be out of luck. I think moving the date would be very bad for most people. So the question is, how will this effect the riding? I for one haven't did a lot of riding. I attend for the social benefits. I think...

    77 M880 / Tires

If you need or want some extra factory wheels, I will give you a set. I have 3 parts trucks as well as a pipe of old wheels. If anyone you know is going to be in the Columbia area any time soon, I can throw them on my truck. If you don't mind spending the gas money, drive down and pick them...

    77 M880 / Tires

Amen. My dad bought a 72 Dodge new. They all rust out over the rear wheels unless you keep it in a garage and don't drive them. My M866 has as much rust as the Titanic. We have a wee bit of moisture here in SC.

    77 M880 / Tires

Just a note you might find useful. I bought 4 16" factory dodge saw blade wheels and usable tires for my truck a year ago off Craigs list in Charlotte. The chrome is a no no in military stuff, but for $100 I was happy. I still have two on the back but that will change soon. I have a 86 F-250...

    77 M880 / Tires

It looks like you have the super crappy 16.5" wheels that where stock on these things. I rounded up a set of modern 16" wheels for my truck and I would suggest for what you are using it for you should do the same. You can find good brand all terrain radials in a good size for the 16" wheels...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I will bring a few bags one way or another. Can you have too many grits? How about meal? Can the kitchen make corn bread?

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

I went back and read the first post and realized some of what I was suggesting was already there. I hate to admit it, but I'm one of those people that look for key words in a thread that might provide me the info I want and skip over stuff. That don't always work. Anyway I for one have...

Official 2010 SS Ga Rally Info thread

Well guys I have reserved a cabin this year, and I hope to use it this time. I plan to leave the Columbia area Thursday morning and stay until Sunday morning. I can't commit to do anything at this point, but if things go well I would like to help out any way I can. The way my work goes I have...

Commo Gear for the GA Rally

Well I just used my ham radio license for the first time a few minutes ago. I know very little about all this, but could one of you guys tell me what frequency radios we are talking about here. Do you need a ham license to use them? I will be spending a lot of time this summer getting to know...

    It appears I just won a M750

I will be selling the non winch truck. I picked it up a few months back at GL. They seemed to be giving trucks away that day so I figured I should help them out. Come on down when you can. Nothing is going any where.

    It appears I just won a M750

I suppose I shouldn't get too excited yet, my EUC has to clear. While I have had nothing but smooth dealing with the GL gang on this stuff, I read many people have lots of trouble. It might be my turn. I'll let you know on the mud flaps Kenny. Depending on the condition of the unit, it might...

    It appears I just won a M750

Hail no. If I was leaving today I would drive the M813 with the RV (M866) in tow. I'm sure my plans will change before then. I don't know what I will do with this trailer, I might be living in it when I get it home. Assuming I can drive down to get it with my wife's foot in my...... The...

    It appears I just won a M750

Well I guess it's public knowledge since it was an online auction. $236.00 + 10% + tax (plus fuel and time to get it home).
  17. Blythewoodjoe

    It appears I just won a M750

Well the auction is over and I have the high bid, so I'm off to the land of EUC tomorrow and then in a few months I can pick it up? Seriously, I think I just won a M750 (like I need one) and later when I have time I will have some questions for you guys that move stuff like this with a M818. I...

    M818/ Cummins NA250

OK, I hate to hi-jack the thread, but yet I do. I have a M813 that has what I assume to be the 14.00 xl's it was surplused with from the Marines. I also assume it has the older engine. It seems to run well and will hold in the upper 50s (mph) on most of the interstates around here. I towed a...

How do I haul a trailer without using air brakes?

I have to point out something here. I personally like military stuff. Ok I love it, but before you jump in and buy a surplus generator, I think any body looking for a decent generator should look over the civilian market real good. I have two Mep 701a gens and I love the green paint job, but...

I have wondered, how do fish like CARC?
