I am having trouble downloading the correct TM so I can locate the part numbers for the drag link. I am wanting to replace both ends and sleeve if someone has the correct part numbers for oriellys or autozone. My tire has tore up the one end and regardless it's all worn out and needing replacing
Oh no you are right on that. The first tank or so I was getting water out pretty easily. It's honestly the reason why I changed a couple of filters in the beginning between the water and mainly because of the cleaner I kept using. I did make sure to check the water separator probably...
Yeah I thought about that. I went through two box filters when I got it running since it sat forever. Now I got a spin on style filter. This thing is literally on its third fuel filter in probably 3500 miles of me driving it so I am hoping it's ok to leave the one I have on for now till I...
Well I got the tank in last night. There were times were it was a struggle lol. Getting the tank out with the metal lines attached wasn't fun by myself. I managed to get the tank in and hung by one bolt to reuse the metal line but to be able to get clamps on the rubber hose going to the lift...
I was actually thinking about cutting above the tank in the bed and making like a little door to access the pump area in the future. I hate cutting the bed but man it's tight in there
I see what your saying. I saw the big metal brackets mounted to the truck. So you think it's a good idea to put stuff over the strap to keep it from rubbing ?
OK I think I know were your saying. I am a visual learner only lol. When I get into it if I have any issues I will tag you in the post if that's ok? It does seem really straight forward though when looking at it.
Yeah mine is leaking pretty bad and a new one has a lifetime warranty for a great price. I really appreciate everyone's help. I got the spectra ordered and it should be here at the end of the month. I also got two new straps and the tank. I figured it's all pretty old and the truck sat for 8...
OK that third one that's capped off is that the middle one it looks like? I also found this one at autozone I may order it has the two. Do you think it's easier to just get that one?
OK so I looked at my sending unit and I only see two lines so now I am confused as to what the third does? I think I would use the two outside ones as the incoming and return but what do I do with the middle or did I order the wrong sending unit? Here is the best picture I could get.
I kinda feel like that's how this truck is with the guage. When it says half I can get maybe 12 gallons in it or so but it definitely drops fast once past full. I will check mine I don't remember seeing 4 outlets and no I just want it all back together and not leaking at this point. I usually...
Do you know if it matters on the sending unit if we have 3 or 4 outlets? Sorry if that's a stupid question and I need to check mine later before ordering the sending unit
OK I appreciate it and the sending unit looks good to you? I see that the new one comes with the sock. I appreciate the heads up on the straps I didn't think of that. But mine are not rusted or anything
So I got another one for you all. Yesterday when I was cleaning some salt off my k1500 while parked next to my cucv I smelled diesel fuel. So I began checking over the good ol cucv only to find a nice steady drip from the bottom of the fuel tank. Now you all have been extremely helpful in me...
Yeah what you are saying is kinda what I was thinking with that. I really don't like band aid fixes. The pump is definitely bent in areas from tightening the belt and all. I heard that lucas stuff is super thick anyways.
OK I appreciate all the help. I almost finished everything up today and it wasn't to bad. The hydroboost is definitely beat up and there was nasty rust crud were the master cylinder goes into the hydroboost. I have to get a new power steering hose, the one from the hydroboost to pump because...
What's everyone's opinion on atf or power steering fluid in the power steering resivor? I think I may have mixed the two accidentally and I may suck all of it out and just fill it with either one. The reason I ask is I believe it works with the hydroboost I am putting on.
