Generally 50 to 60° above ambient temps,
I.E. if it is 90° out the hubs would be 140° to 150°
If it burns your hands you have an issue, and always compare the temp all 6 positions, the right rears will be a little bit warmer than the rest
Reservations not required, the site is very large!

10 mpg - 2200 miles = 220 gallons x $4/gal = $880 (coincidence or a sign!)
Minimal lumbar support
I did a 986 mile trip in under 24 hours in my M880 with 18 foot trailer in tow.
Ear plugs - a plus
This all has been covered in this forum,
search & read
Basically the taller the tire, the higher the top speed, the harder to stop & slower acceleration.
all speedo heads are the same, function wise at 1000 revolutions per mile. which is why there are gears to calibrate the readings.
You can verify if the head is screwing up as well as the drive gear ratios by using the highway milemarkers
drive at least 10 mile markers and check the odometer, if...
Guess it's off to the search on this.
I thought that the last 2 digits of the registration number ceased to indicate the year after 1966......hmmm
the 0334 prefix of the vin indicates 1969 w/winch to me...................I could be wrong
a bouncing needle is rarely due to the speedo itself. but the drive cable or a loose drive gear at the trans.
I'd suspect the the Gear vendors unit has the wrong # of teeth on the speedo drive gear.
also the speedo will be off by a percentage not a specific mph. i.e 2.5 off at 25mph would be 5...
The frames usually have a mfg date on the drivers side above the front axle
the contract # on the data plate on the dash
i.e. DAAE-06-68-C-0007
the above example contract to build was awarded in 1968 (the "68" in the contract # is the year)
since that tag also has the vin, this may be your...
The pins at the front of the bed are what pull the weight.
these are what are removed when you try to use it as a dump.
the geometry is all wrong for dumping.
If there is weight on the tongue, one must chock the trailer wheels or lock the trailer brakes and use the tow vehicle to push backwards...
The M116 chassis is std for a M101 body.
The tag on the body is just that, the tag on the frame is the one to be concerned with.
the max gvwr on those is about 3500lbs ( varies as some had heavier springs) and your truck has a 5100lb tow rating.
Do your research the M101 is not a dump trailer...
