Was just told anything over 1ton capacity or with more than 4 wheels
would have to go through their commercial division.
The commercial division told me that a former military vehicle could not be insured direct yet could be done by Progressive through an independant...
That is conceivable, but the mph/kph speedo superceded the mph only one, and when the supply of MPH only ones ran out dual scale one were used.
US units were large MPH and small inner kph with miles on the odometer.
There could be a millions reasons for why it was changed

Made it home about 3pm, went well , a little antifreeze leak and the windshield washers didn't work. Batteries are toast.

Ok I see on the invoice it is saying Am General ( the auction page showed US Army TACOM as...
No M880's were sold to Canada (M880 is a US designation)
The Canadian Army did have 1976 model W200's with 4 speed manual transmissions.
US Gov't replacement speedos had both MPH and KPH yet the odometer was in miles.

I have a M36A2 (long bed deuce, 5ft longer than M35A2) about 160 miles away from here. Weight - just over 15k.
I have never driven a deuce and mid January / February around here means snow and ice covered roads, couple that with NDTs.
