Learned masters of the Deuce, I have a question or two:
Well, it was 25*F last night, and this morning the M35A2 decides not to start when I'm rolling out the door to work, so the Unimog bails it out. The truck's been running well...

Dear Mr. Pop:
Mr. Miller who replied to your Takin the Mite for a Spin note has the Maintenance Manual for the M422A1, so he would also have the wiring diagrams for your Mite if you can't find them anywhere else.
Regards,
Kyle...

Dear Mr. Pop: See your I took the Mite out for a spin today note, as when I sold the Mighty Mite I had to Mr. Miller in Philadelphia, I had to rebuild the carb, and I think the Holley kit was numbered 1909 or thereabouts, there used to be a cross index...

Gentlemen:
On the subject of back pressure vs. noise reduction, permit me to weight in with some of my experiences. A gentleman I knew had an ex-Louisville & Nashville Railroad office car that he refitted with a 60KW
generator set driven...

I MUST CONCUR with AlphaDeltaRomeo above, if any of you guys have a NSN-5930-01-491-9893 TACOM blackout switch that works and you just can't live with it, I'll swap you a NOS 3 lever any day of the week. I've had M422A1's with the 3 lever (What a waste of weight...

The thought of an overdrive gear change would be interesting, given that my 1971 M35A2 empty maxs out at 53 MPH with the original 9:00x20:00 NDT's. She is, however scheduled for conversion to six 1100R20 Goodyear G177 Unisteels M+S Load Range "H", which give a...

Dear Mr. Doyle and Mr. Gringletaube:
Thank you both for the insights into the seat mountings on the M35A2, turns out Boyce sent me a M35A1 passenger seat, no difference from what I can tell, and I am pleased my deductions were correct as to attachment points...

Gentlemen: Another Deuce question for those of you who have the M35A2 with the folding bottom passenger bench seat, as mine was delivered without same. The last owner kept the bench seat (Why? - I don't know!), but cab views of the...

Gentlemen:
I will check with the Waco office in regards to correcting the license to the bumper numbers, and I do carry a copy of the statute sections with the registration, figuring that when some local cop notices only the county sticker in the...

MORE ON THE DEUCE INSPECTION IN TEXAS!!!
It seems that for my 1971 Kaiser Jeep to pass a DOT inspection for use as a non commercial truck- the following items must be addressed.
1. Rear Mudflaps more then 12" above the road...

I might wish to point you also to Michael at Unipaser (United Parts Service) in Palo Alto, Ca., he has been most helpful in finding the parts to keep my 1963 Mercedes Benz Unimog S.404.114 (Swiss) running. The 404's are much maligned by those who want or need a Unimog...

Gentlemen and Ladies:
I have a deuced pair of questions regarding the M35A2, so please read on....
Question 1: For Texas Deuce owners: How likely is it that the truck inspection shop IS or ISN'T going to have a hemorrage tomorrow AM over my 1971 Kaiser Jeep M35A2...

BY CHANCE, could any of you gentlemen going out to Fontana Scrap yard on your next run, please locate four (4) of the flat oval head screws that hold the windshield adjustment arms to the winshield sash and cab posts on the M35A2? they are a 1/4"-28NF x 1/2" long item...

I had the same problem with vibration on the original round mirrors on my 1961 M422A1 Mighty Mite, the solution there was a fabricated bracket made from steel strap ( say 1/8" x 1/2"or 5/8") with a bolt hole drilled in one end to fit on the mirror mounting bolt (...

What year and serial numbers on your Mighty Mite? I used to own #2043, a 1961 M422A1 that got shed back in 1977/78 when the Shah was deposed. I guess some loony in the GL felt that the air cooled engine would do really well in Iran, and when the sale flopped they...

Take your chances, Single up the rear duals, use chains if you have them, and pray a lot! In the W.Va. hills the loggers really hated the NDT's lack of lateral stability in steering on sideslopes, and they used to say NDT was No Directional Traction. I've seen a few...

Esteemed Deuce owners:
I am planning to refit the hand throttle to my 1971 Kaiser Jeep M35A2 Wo/W, it had it from the ghost in the dashboard (OD semi Gloss exposed in an area otherwise forest green CARC) of the bezel, but there is, to me, no obvious...
