Swamp, would you please explain this filter "washing" process. Do you just spray it with water from the inside out? I just rattled loose the dust myself and the filter flow meter reads in the middle. Would like full flow, or at least closer.
I drove mine for the first time on the interstate (I-70) for any distance more than one or two exits. (I had always taken back roads, even to Findlay twice.) It was right at 200 miles round trip. She purred along at 55 pulling an M1082 trailer, loaded with 1500 lbs. on the return trip. I realize...
The M1082 trailers often sell on GP for under $1000. I believe most of the side panels and stakes and covers and tailgate and bows are interchangable with the truck. I would verify NSNs first but if so that may be a cheaper way to go and then have a flat bed trailer after you strip it.
New cartridge installed today. The old one had some oily residue on it and a lot of water droplets but no sign of where the desiccant escaped. The cartridge was very heavy compared to the new one so I figure it was fully absorbed in water. I guess I will just keep the ones I had for sale if I...
Trade security. Feds. Mainly just making sure you are a citizen of the good ol' USA, and havn't gotten busted illegally exporting or anything like denounced citizenship, etc.
M1061 trailer. Them landing legs are a bit sloppy and have some lean on them. They also may not have the pins fully in the slots. They have them on GP now and then so you can get an idea of auction value before deciding what to pay for the junkyard one.
Oh. My EUC cleared quickly from other EUC checks by GL. That alone will take up to 3-4 months or less. Then they start the SF97 after you are cleared so as to not get paperwork rolling on what could be a non-sale. I figured I would be doing good to make it into my title office with my forms...
The antifreeze was added after the dryer with the old stock dryer still installed. I put around 8 hours on it before putting the new dryer on as I wanted to work out the bugs before putting the new one on. I didn't get a chance to change that cartridge yet. I an hoping to today. I have to drop...
I considered that, being the desiccant cartridges I have were in MRAP annual maintenance kits. I guess I just assumed all the more I drive it, I could squeeze a good bit more time out of it than that. But we all know what happens when we ASSUME! Thanks, Chris.
Well, back when I first got this truck I did run some air system antifreeze/cleaner through it, but none since. The dryer is only two years old. I will put a new cartridge in it today then. I have a few lying around since I had several I was selling. Hopefully the cartridge currently in it has...
Took the purge valve apart yesterday. It appears as if I have a failing desiccant cartridge; or is this normal?
I cleaned it all up and put a light coat of grease on the o-rings and started the truck before reassembly to let the air clean the hole up in the well for the purge valve...
I was considering to do that with the unloader, but with kroil. Mine is actually at 122#. I had a long battle with air issues when I first got this truck. I'm by no means complaining.
Will do. Thanks. Had you not mentioned it being in there that snug, I may have still been puzzled, thinking I still missed something. And thanks for the photo.
Ok. Thanks Swamp. I did take the cover off but will do so again with my readers on and look closer for that snap ring. So the whole round black thing drops out and then I should be able to see how it seals when closed? I just picture dirt and rust in there since this truck sat a few years as the...
