What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Mine was so sloppy it quit working. Took it apart and shimmed it up with a regular washer and it is working great with no bounce. I had gotten used to none but like Simp said, it feels like you are flying at low speeds in town.

Are you sure the sides aren't aluminum?

What did you do to your trailer today.

The drop down sides fit in the wide stowage areas. They only seem to fit with hinges on one side or the other. They are all back and forth. I marked the side of each slot that the hinge faces with an "H" to speed up the putaway for future stowings.

The difference will be a percentage. Just figure out the difference at 50 mph and go from there for the other "10s". If it is off by 6 mph at 50 than there is a 12% difference. I used to do this the old school way with all the beater point A to point B vehicles I have owned. Had to use mile...

    M1082

Hauled a few loads of firewood and a few trips to GL in Lockborne. Holds six pallets comfortably.

So, what's the one thing you'd change?

Would be nice to have sections specific to the vehicle under parts. Maybe even a way to put "closest to me" for large items.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Ground the driftpin that the crank handle attaches to on the landing gear of the M116 genset trailer. The handle was absent and now my 4-way lug wrench fits it. I took off a wee little at a time until it would just fit over the driftpin with resistance. Now I have a working landing gear.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Bet them ladies were awful glad you showed up! I personally use a drop or two of motor oil or a dab of grease simply because it is always nearby. Once along the road changing a tire for the first time on a newly aquired vehicle I ran into every nut being a squaller, but I had oil! Pulled the...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Got it home and removed the black rattle prevention tape. Ordered new drain valve well nut (since they hammer the drain valves off). Gave her a test fire just to hear it in person. Also, went with the gimp trailer security system.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

A quick shot of brake parts cleaner and it's good to go. I have had two different ones do this once each and never do it again. I took the vents apart finding no issues and as long as the fluid level stays topped and the leak don't continue, I will let it run it's course. However, after looking...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Had it in a small town parade yesterday. Around here, my truck always seems to be the only MV in these parades. Where's the other local MV owners?

What did you do to your trailer today.

Replaced both LED tailights on the M1082 while at Findlay. The others both worked part-time, none, or half lit, or very dim; whatever they felt like doing at any given moment. Now they work properly, so it was in fact internal and not a ground issue.

I myself take cash, check, or paypal (to friends and family). No card swiper though. Gotta avoid that 3% to keep prices as low as possible.

I did have some help for a change. One day I will realize I'm not a teenager (or in 20s, 30s, or even 40s) anymore, but it might be too late! Darned years fly by.
