12,000lbs. GVW, possible. Not 12,000lbs. actual vehicle weight.
As other have stated, trailering possible, flat towing, are you crazy? You won't have brakes and towing a 13,000 lb truck with no brakes will allow for your nomination to the Darwin Awards.
I'd only try that in a safe location only.
You should be able to start the truck and then shift right into low range.
Has this truck been modified with ABS brakes?
Try shifting the truck into low gear and see if the problem goes away.
A valve body that's sticking can cause the transmission to shift into high gear which will cause a stall.
I suspect that the axle is missing due to a mechanical issue that required towing the truck further than allowed without immobilization.
For your sake I hope that the engine/transmission isn't hurt.
If the issue is the rear it's self, they're common parts.
Not to rain on your parade, but I'm of the understanding that Virginia does not accept SF97's for proof of ownership.
You may wish to contact one of the Maine trailer registration websites and see if they can be of help.
The SF97 would be assigned to GL, then to whom they sold it to which is...
WM if the hose is collapsed when cold after the truck has been run it's possible that the overflow hose is toast and is collapsing while attempting returning overflowed coolant.
Check the cap for correct pressure and condition of overflow hose.
Base weight of the M1061 is 5800 lbs. At least that's what my data plate says.
The trailer tows very heavy. I moved my last one about the same distance, but I used a F350 dually. I got pushed all over the place. The other issue is that the wheels are mid mounted so the trailer wags around you...
Judd, If you can make a trip to Baltimore, I probably can get my contact Yolanda to quote a price for both steel and 5052 aluminum.
You dimensions yield a tank holding 63.64 gallons without baffles, which you should have. Also, have you given thought to how you are going to mount the tank to...
SD, Williams is very proud of their replacement leg to the tune of over $500.
I spoke with them close to two years ago on purchasing the unit called out on the MWO.
Under normal circumstances I would agree with driving it away for repairs, but the M936 weighs over 35,000 lbs.
I wouldn't trust chaining up an axle except to get the truck on a trailer or out of the road.
If the brake diaphragms are broke off with the dog bone issue, get it towed off the lot...
I've worked in the aerospace/DoD world for way too many years and heavily used chlorinated solvents until the US government signed in to the Montreal Protocol.
Chlorinated and bromine mixtures were used because they aren't flammable. Chlorinated solvents were called "Safety solvents" due to the...
Too bad you aren't closer, as I have 5 or 6 sections of suction hose with the same disconnects. I also have a new roll of lay flat discharge hose.
I gave my pump away as mine ran on 3 phase electric instead of gasoline.
Cut the stub off and weld it to a piece of 1/2" plate.
I could have taken pics of mine last weekend, but no one asked when I offered up.
You also need to cut two pieces of plate to drill and tap for use on the backside of the jack mounting plate. Use 3/8-16 grade 8 bolts.
