    Huntsville City Limits weight restrictions

I see the language excludes passenger autos, passenger vans and pickups from this ordinance.

    Huntsville City Limits weight restrictions

So, I guess that means no one in Huntsville owns a dually pickup or other pickups with a 1 ton designation. Under the limit you mention, they would all be illegal also.

Don't Let Your Brother-In-Law Drive Your Deuce

This piston came from a locked engine. The little bit it was shortened by the bends also allowed the crank to hit the bottom of the piston. Bad to try pulling it without pulling the injectors first.

    Air-O-Matic Issue

Don't do the fender holes for the airlines per instructions. The way the Army did this in pic #2 from my cargo truck was smarter and easier.

tire size for m1028 w/ duel wheels

Stock tires on 73-81 duallies were non-radial tubeless tires on 16.5 rims. I used to order the optional 7.50-16 D tube type on my trucks. GM went to radials in 82 on these models. My radial equipped duallies came with the optional 235/85-16 E tires.

tire size for m1028 w/ duel wheels

Most GM civilian dually pickups after 1981 were fitted with 235/85-16 tires. You can run 255/85-16's too. In the 70's I ran 750-16 and L78-16 on my duallies. No spacers necessary. A pic of my 88 V30 with 235/85-16 and my 1008 with 255/85's, and my 79 with L78-16's.

    Deuce GVWR?

The dashboard plate on my 1970 M35 wo/w states a loaded gvw of 23,030 on highway. I'm not using it commercially and the state gives price changes at 14, 18, 22, and 26000 gvw. I licensed it at 18,000 gvw,(same price as 14,001). My M342A2 is licensed at 26,000 to stay under CDL regulations. I've...

    Deuce rollback/flatbed with rolling tailboard/winch?

Like someone else suggested. Drag them out and then load them on a trailer. Good news is this unit is listed in the classifieds.

1800 miles, no license plates, half a pack of smokes...

I can agree with this! 5 of my 1 tons.

1800 miles, no license plates, half a pack of smokes...

All you have to do to get a temporary tag in Ohio is ask GL Title Dept. for a notarized Bill of Sale. Tell them you are driving the vehicle home and you need the bill of sale to get your temp tag. You will need to provide GL the proper ID number for the vehicle. After they send it to you, take...

    8,620 lbs of gravel

As wet as that load looks you might have had 16-17 ton on there.

Where did you mount the license plates

In Ohio you must paint the registration number on front and rear and carry at least 1 of the historical plates and registration in the mv at all times the vehicle is operated on public roads and highways in Ohio.

Where did you mount the license plates

I mounted the front plate on both deuce's here. I didn't want to drill holes in the bumper and also thought cameras would have a tougher time with this location. Two holes in the radiator core crossmember.

    8,620 lbs of gravel

My deuce moved about 180 ton today. It did a good job of moving the clean fill dirt. Average payload was 12ton.

    cucv leaf springs

The civilian K/V30 single rear wheel pickups have been rated from 8600 in 1977 up to 9200 gvw in 1987. This pic is of the rear springs on my current 1988 V30 dually pickup.
