I've been collecting since I got our to boot camp in 95'. However, the 5-tons and 2 2/2 tons where lucky deals on GL before the auction freenzy fever caugth on. Maxed out the Credit Card a couple of times also and it would take a year to pay it off.

I've seen this happen first hand. It occurs when you go too fast in Reverse in low range. I was told as long as you go slow in reverse in low range you are OK. ITs when you floor it, then it breaks. However, I'm sure the Army just wants to prevent it all together by just saying dont go in...

A little late now, but always use square sections of plywood to be place under the jack stands. even though it is not thick, it will distribute the load pressure more evenly rather than point loads with the jack stand legs.

Here's the deal. I have a hydraulic leak (bad, 1 week and the whole reservoir is drained) coming somewhere from the center of the turn table. When I look under the truck everyting is wet or damp with hydraulic oil so it is hard to pin point anyone spot. I want to say that it looks like...

I am glad to see that a lot of these trucks go to SSer's rather than big export companies or 4 wheeler individuals who just want to cut it up for axles to put under their jeep.
You just reuse the pulley from the old alt. The newer one is just the more modern replacement, however, they been around awhile too. Change out about ten of them so for.
