Now that thing is cute! Not to sound a little on the fairy side or anything. Not too sure if it's MV Related but heck, it works! Wonder what one would do with such a thing? Kinda looks like a remote controller robot for the SWAT teams explosives unit... hahah.... Anyways, cool find.
BTW-...
Welcome to Steel Soldiers Zack! You'll find plenty of info and really nice people here on this site! As far as desert runs, some of us locals take a trip both in the Fall and the Spring to "Camp Dirtbag" out in Stoddard Wells by Barstow. Our ring leaders "Will Wagner", "Hole", and "DJFreema"...
Nope. But I guess I could suggest, "Auxillary Equipment" or "Mechanical Upgrades" as a possible forum group. Otherwise, maybe post under the vehicle you are talking about???
Oh, and BTW - Welcome to Steel Soldiers!

You are required to have a log book, higher insurance, weight fees, and Cal/DOT Numbers only if you take it off of Historic Vehicle status. Otherwise, just a Class B, Medical Cert every 2 years and Air Brakes Endorsement for a 3 axle Historic vehicle. Food for thought.
I don't know of...
Larry,
Well, I can tell you that the guys out in Fontana should have a set of front leafs (or even a take out from an M105) that will work for bobbing the deuce. They should have several of the items that you need since I have inquired about it before from them. Though I can't remember what...
With 11.00x20's - 40" from top of Frame rail to ground level (Drivers Side). Measurement taken just behind the front axle. Don't forget to add 1" or 2" due to my leafs having a slight negative arch.
Thanks & Good Luck
-Tyler
Just checked mine.
With 11.00x20's - 32" from bottom of frame to ground at the front axle and 10" from bottom of frame to Top of front axle. Mind you that my front leafs have a slight negative arch so you could add 1" or 2" more inches.
Hope that helps.

Larry, Let me be the first to welcome you to Steel Soldiers! I hope that you made it back in one piece from Santa Ana... Anyways, sometime we get a meet together to go the Fontana Scrap Yard, though its been quite a while. Hopefully Will Wagner, Hole, DJFreema, and a few others will chime in...
Wow, Wonder if it's street legal? That would be awesome. Could you imagine how many would freak the he$$ out???
Cool none the less! Thanks for the Vid.
-Tyler
My mearsurements were all different but generally, with 11.00x20 tires I had 10 inches from top of tire to the bed floor and approx 8 inches from top of tire to the bottom of the bed rail. Hope that makes sense and helps you out.

:ditto:
I hear your pain in regards to cutting the old ones out. I had one he$$ of a time on a few of them. Almost had some bloody knuckles to go with it too. Anyways, good luck!

KaiserM109 - HAHA - Love the use of that great pic - Very Funny :-D
I have a early version trailer with no Relay and single air line. The brakes on that trailer dragged on one occasion and haven't used them since. I think it's a problem with the Actuator Pancake as Emmado22 called it. I...
Try to find a good takeoff from a surplus/scrap yard. Otherwise, Memphis Truck Equipment should have it but be ready to shell out some coin...
Hope that helps,
-Tyler
Have the same problem on mine. Think there is a seal there somewhere, but I never got around to taking it apart. Besides, these trucks are supposed to mark their spot right?

That's California for you. In the CDL Book, it clearly states "Air over Hydraulic" is required to have an Air Brake Endorsement. BS I Know. I fought tooth and nail with the inspector person at the DMV and didn't win that battle. Not that big of a deal to get it (I Have both a Class B CDL and...
Well, a quick glance at the New Jersey CDL Manual shows the following exemption:
Exemptions to CDL Requirements
Taxi drivers, ride-sharing drivers, firefighters, First aid/
rescue squad vehicle operators, farmers hauling their
own products and equipment within 150 miles of their
farms...
emmado22,
When you say the relay valve, are you talking about the diaphram looking assembly that is bolted directly to the Brake Master Cylinder on the Trailer? (I Call it a diaphram just because I didn't know what else to call it...)
Thanks,
-Tyler
