So will powdered Tide - at least the older version would.
Spray the motor down with warm water, sprinkle it with Tide, let it sit, then spray it off - along with all the grease and grime...

Yes Sir. The thing to remember with hydraulics is that flow (GPM) controls speed more than pressure
Eaton Vickers Hydraulic Vane Pump (9M-818) NSN 4320-01-521-6943 drives the the winches on the M936. One 45000#, a 20,000# on the boom, and the front winch (on a separate pump) is a 10,000#...

Well the painting looks good enough. That way you are protecting the metal...
As far as the hydraulic winches are concerned: GPM and PSI doesn't really need to be anything other than "pick your biggest load" and then build your system based on that. You definitely want to be able to turn...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Seems like everybody has already welcomed you to the group and have the TM's handy. Those books will definitely help you a lot. Everything from parts numbers to troubleshooting...

Yes, you could affix a throttle cable on a 3116 but if something pulls out in front of you, you won't be able...

Yeah well... Having multiple wells is a good thing. That way if one of your generators goes down - you have another way to move water. Might be worthwhile to have a water buffalo if you have something to drag it... In case one of the wells go down.

Nothing like loosing a wheel. Especially a rear. Many moons ago going down Interstate 85... Left rear wheel pulled out and passed me going 55. Then I spotted a tractor barreling down the highway in the passing lane. That truck looked like a caterpillar climbing over the tire... Wow!
He...

That sounds pretty sad. I mean the paint job looks really nice. What about the internals? Are the Gear boxes, Motor, and Brakes okay? Or are at least some of the parts good?
.
Well, the TM's live with new and old HMMWV's in the same folder. If you have your Serial Number, you can sort it all out pretty well. You should start with the "Dash 10" book to learn how to start it. That will keep you from frying your start box... Yeah, I know most folks turn on the...
