Well after almost 5 years after I replaced mine it's still dry as a bone. My 803 is on a trailer and the top well nut is dry as well. Glad this is a good fix!
Just an update, then hinge on my front panel door has ice on it again but after putting that graphite spray on it like Rick F suggested it opens like a champ!
Well it was cold here at 19 degrees, I didn't loose power but when I went to check out the generator an start it up the hinges on the front cover were frozen. Had had to pour hot water on the hinge to get it open, I guess I'll cover it tonight just encase I need it tonight. That won't happen...
I'm not an electrical guy but I think it was some diodes and something with a heat sink. I don't remember how much it cost but it was worth me doing it vs. the cost of a replacement
Willsc do you have the IS-24-L Solargizer? Is it the one that the military installed? If it is it may just be a desulfator, I have one but it didn't charge the battery, found out the hard way with a dead battery
