A CDR valve doesn’t create blow by….blow by is completely normal in all engines to some extent, it just depends on how bad.
I’ve had engine that appear to be quite severe and run absolutely perfect for many many years.
You do not need to replace the engine harness….just remove the LAU harness and plug in the existing glow plug boots.

Just replace if you are concerned, the CDR valve can also load up with oil if an engine has blow by…you want to replace the CDR valve anyway as part of maintenance.
I’ve advised my customers for years that the exhaust is a problem as you have stated, one customer in particular refused to listen and his new cargo extension was essentially ruined because he didn’t believe me.
May I add, the S3 EESS is the only authorized start box used in the hmmwv By the military ALL other versions are EOL.

Oh, you mean it’s operating as designed…I have had Diesel engine trucks all my life, my 2020 Duramax runs 220 all day under any load.
You need to learn how diesel engines work before you and anyone decide to try and make them run at 180 operating temp.

I have everything from m998 3 speeds to turbo charged slantbacks and everything in between.
stay away from electric fans…it’s been proven for 20yrs they do not work on this truck.
I lost count on the number of trucks I’ve removed these stupid cooling fans guys stick on the radiator stack, they block airflow, the best fan is the OEM fan.
