Well...I didn't see that coming! I understand getting it done right though. The rest of the truck looks new. I can think of a few parts that will look great on that engine now too!! Glad you'll use them. Wish this caught me a few weeks ago...I had a brand new cross over pipe I just sold on...
You can pop a plug on it. Just need to make sure they get put in line with each other. Weather style plugs are not that hard to get. Glad it cleaned up easy.
Those are 2 male ends that ones hot with the genset on. If you mess with it you can get cooked. See it a bunch in the camping overlanding world too.

Ok hooking up depends if you're doing 220 or 110. I assume 220. If you open the front of the gauge box you'll see a big switch. You want to set it to the 120/240. Then outside is set to l3 l1. There is a bus bar that may need removed too. It's hooked to the neutral l3 inside. You can see it...
Well just in my automotive world I have seen many NVH things attached randomly on suspension parts and engines over the years. It is usually a bracket with some sort of heavy rubber mounted to a strut or engine mount. I am sure the engineers spent time finding the correct weight to counter the...
I think I bought 6 feet of it just to be safe. I ordered the original style hose so I didn't want to come up short. Carb cleaner is pretty mild. Don't use brake clean that could eat the floats.

I use carb cleaner to get the goo off. Sounds like the diesel at one point sat and did the moss grow stuff. You can use a diesel conditioner to keep stuff from growing in it or drain the tank if it's going to sit for a while. I assume since you're in a high humidity area it doesn't take long for...
Oh if you didn't take the pump apart then it could be the bolts that hold the pump in the case. I got one with those type bolts in it.

Ok I'm going off old memory but I thought those bolts held the pump together. For some reason I remember those lines cut out on the heads for them.

Looks like you got fire company yellow. If you want the same color you'd have to get it matched. You might get lucky and find a rustoleum yellow that is the same.

You'll probably need a new starter. With the holes not right it won't line up properly. There's a bunch of those brackets for sale on ebay Amazon etc.

Ok, you found a few problems. Gotta use the correct starter bolts that are knurled on the middle by the threads. Those align the starter to the flywheel. My fear is that the holes in the starter are no longer round but egg-shaped from moving around. The starter will not work if they are. That...
Yup gotta take that cover off. It's 6 bolts on the outer edges then the ones that hold one the transmission lines. Those lines run right over that cover and have to be bent out of the way or unbolted from the trans to get the cover out. Either way is not easy. Can damage the lines bending them...
Get a heat gun and see how hot it really is. Mine hits 120 on the hump after a good drive. I put lizard skin heat control on the floor and it stays around 80 now. They do get hot.

I have no idea how I remember that but forget where my glasses are. I hope that's what's wrong with it. I know I've gotten a little crazy getting that fuel filter off!

If I remember right there's 2 sensors for oil pressure. 1 for the genset and one for the gauge. Any chance you bumped the wire when changing the fuel filter? I think that one is right there with the filters.

Glad the reverse lights work now! It's odd the diagram you posted shows 4 wires when there's 6 with both plugs on the truck. Throw it in reverse and see if one of the wires gets hot...I'd back probe that since I think the harness grounds itself with one of those wires. If not I'd run another...
