Dipstick, the shelter in my trailer is an S-250. The shelter that fits in the bed of a 2 1/5 or 5 Ton is an S-280. The S-280 Shelter also fits on a dolly.
Well most of the shelter has been painted, except around the entry door when I ran out of paint. Just a quarter can more and I could have finished the job. But you know how it goes. So I ordered some more Woodland Green paint, and that should be here middle of next week. I did a lot of body work...
Dipstick, we have a light similar to yours but slightly smaller. Inside the shelter, space is limited, especially headspace. So we went with these wall mounted lights so my CO doesn't hit her head on the light, or knock the light over with her feet. We have several of these lights and if they...
Tim, this is our light system. You can get these lights from Harbor Freight for $3.99 ea. They have Velcro backing so you can hang them anywhere. They are powered by 4 AAA batteries and will last for up to 1 hour on the standard batteries. Use Ever Ready or Duracell and they will last longer...
Tim, I got the foam GI sleeping bag mats on e-bay and stapled them to the plywood. They come in a roll, and I used 9/16 size staples to hold them in place.
Tim, here ya go. This may not be in assembly order, but you can figure it out. The top pieces of plywood sheet are screwed together, then screwed to the 2 stands. I didn't run any screws into the shelter structure. More pictures to come
Getting ready for the MVCC Spring meet. I'm finishing the paint on the S-250 Shelter exterior, and It's also turned out pretty nice inside. I got a bunch of interior ideas from Guyfang that really makes it livable. Even my CO is beginning to like it. Next week we'll take it out camping so I can...
Dipstick, do you have the Battery Retainer that goes on top of the batteries? The retainer helps to keep things secure. If not, Battery Retainer. NSN 6160-00-404-2669. Part # A52505-C. You will also need, Hook Bolt. Qty. 5. NSN 5306-00-739-7754, Part # 7397754. Great Looking Batteries. (y)
Dipstick, I modified this M52/54 air cannister to fit my M35A2 with the idea that I'll replace the LDT engine with an LDS engine down the road. All the parts used are GI with exception of the 4 1/2 Dia. flex hose B/T the turbo and canister pipe. If your interested I'll post the rest of the...
SCM35A2, Here is the information for the Battery Box warning decals, Qty 2. PN # 12255637, NSN 7690-01-115-7052. PN # 11664260, NSN 7690-00-419-9459. Kit 12375366 Contains both decals. Try Memphis Equipment, PH # 901-774-0600
Dipstick, I converted my truck to spin on filters a few years ago, and they are pricey, but I think they are worth it. Less muss and fuss, and quicker oil pressure.
Hgun. If your going with zipper boots, use the boots with the copper zipper. They last longer than the boots with the black or silver zipper. My truck is also a highway/parade truck, and the copper zipper boots last about 3 years in this hot summer/cold winter, high UV ray environment here in...
Hit all the grease fittings, and installed a new fuel cap gasket. I used Lucas Red "N" Tacky Grease for the first time. It came recommended by a friend who works at the big Gold mine just outside West Wendover, Nevada. Says it works great on the heavy mining equipment. It has a 540 degree drop...
Good idea Dipstick. If there is one thing I can't stand, it's butchered hardware. When I see an MV that has had a lot of hard work and money put in, and then the corners of the fasteners are rounded off, rusted, and have chisel marks. It just down grades all the money and effort that was put...
