Just remember,,, Keeping those front glad hands will help the wrecker driver if you ever need a tow. There are caps that should be on a chain up front that keep bugs and critters out of those air lines. Special caps that allow the air system to "breathe". Purpose of the glad hands up front...

Hand on the bottom of the wheel helps a little just because you have to be quick - and a little push right or left - moves the trailer in that direction. Less thinking, faster action when backing up...

Welcome to the Outfit!
Maybe we can move your post to TRAILERS so you can update with pictures?
TM's for your trailer are posted here as a free download.
If you are going to re-axle the trailer, you might not need them but books might be useful...

Well, again there are all kinds of opinions... I have a M1089. Stewart & Stevenson with a fiberglass grille. Old age was working on it and I needed a fix for the "hairy" look. The gel coat had deteriorated and it was time to spend a lot of time sanding and painting - or a Quick Fix.
I...

@WyColo Deuce ,
You have to remember that our goberment has unlimited money (because we allow it). They don't care about the 800 trucks and the revenue that it added to the coffers. AND if they felt the pinch of losing that money, they simply create some new tax to replace that money...

And if you can find a real counter man the old gray bearded guy - like @juanprado suggested - take off the other back caliper fitting and take it with you. That way they can have something to match to.

Hi Rafael,
Mine is a 1954 and I honestly can't tell you if it is early or late. I did a quick search and found a couple of wiring diagrams in my stash. See if these are different from what you have maybe? Mine lives in a container, so if you need to see something - maybe something I could...

I was really hoping you would have an opinion. Definitely two different things: Running a Business and Fixing Trucks. The two aren't the same for sure!

I dunno. I think it would be safe to say that snug it (the spindle nut), then off about a half a turn. I would expect the wheel jacked up and spin it by hand and it should spin freely and slow gently - not suddenly like something is dragging.

Opinions are like parts of the anatomy - where everybody has one. On the highway my opinion is that it shouldn't be a problem so long as the Weight Enforcement folks don't have a problem. Thinking that farm trucks get special dispensation so hopefully that won't be a problem.
M939 Series...

I would suggest that NO is always the first answer to any question of a guberment employee. There should be another tag office to try. You might do well to say nothing. The less you say, the less chance they have of making a mistake. Just hand your Texas title to the clerk and say you just...

By default the clutch would be engaged. Pressure plate holds the disc and the transmission turns. Sucks, but you could crank the truck in first and drive it slowly home or "sync and shift" like it sounded like you may have?
You mentioned hydraulic. Best I can tell that is a mechanical...

I don't know that there is anything "new" in the business of green or tan trucks - but there are a lot of opinions here for sure. There is a lot of discussion about "it's too glossy" or "it collects dirt" or the color isn't quite right.
Short version is that folks here have posted about...

I know absolutely NOTHING about the product offered at The Dawg, but I can tell you that there is no exact number of feet away before before it will disable. On my personal vehicle with that kind of system for example here at work in a metal building distance is less than at home. Then again...

Might also be worth your time to spend a day in the Captains Seat. Disconnect the batteries and clean the contacts & relays on the board behind the panel and use Antioxidant paste in/on those places. It will take a day to really clean it all up.

You might try pumping several ounces Marvel Mystery Oil into the glowplug holes without trying to turn the engine. Some top cylinder lubrication (MMO) might free rings ans help you avoid scratching the cylinder walls. You have no idea how long it sat, so lube could be your friend.
If you...
