    LMTV FMTV Exhaust Brake Questions?

Sorry to bug you again, for testing the wires purposes it would be easier to do while parked versus driving and looking at a volt meter while the exhaust brake is working. Would I get the same voltage on pin 4 just by hit the warm up switch to on?

    LMTV FMTV Exhaust Brake Questions?

Thanks RONMAR. After searching the internet I get a lot of conflicting answers to that subject. Some motorhomes have it, some fire trucks have it but most trucks / Semis do not. Some say it’s legal some as it’s not! My opinion is it’s safer for me to let someone know I’m slowing down abruptly...

    LMTV FMTV Exhaust Brake Questions?

Thanks again ronmar, your amazing skills at reading these schematics are far superior to mine. I’ve been looking at the schematic last night and today and I’m still having a difficult time understanding what’s going on. My simple question (if in fact it is simple) is, is there 12v+or- or...

    LMTV CTIS Question

Thanks ronmar I dug in this afternoon and found an empty plug behind the dash panel and it had the 1911 switch to 1911A and the 3020 switch to 1911B wires going to it. I jumpered them out and successfully got the CTIS OFF to illuminate and the CTIS turned on. Also take note there is another two...

    LMTV FMTV Exhaust Brake Questions?

I finally made it back home and working on trying to wire the exhaust brake to the brake lights on my 2003 M1078. I’ve been in the fuse panel trying to track down the exhaust brake relay that activates the solenoid. The relay labeled exhaust brake only comes on for a moment when it is first...

    LMTV CTIS Question

So do you agree I could just cut the power wire to pin H on the CTIS ECU and add a switch then locate the “CTIS Off” lights wire and so it illuminates when it’s off?

    LMTV CTIS Question

Mine is a 2003 M1078A1 and I’ve never found a power switch for the CTIS ECU.

    LMTV CTIS Question

I typically unplug my ECU when I'm not using the CTIS (in hopes to prolong its lifespan) but I hate the look of it and was going to just cut the power wire going to the ECU and install a switch so I can just turn it on or off when needed. Would there be any problem or reason I shouldn't do this...

2004 M1084A1 Check Engine Light Troubleshooting

Or take it to a cat service center. when I had those it turned out to be a sensor and then I would purchase it while I was there and put it on at home. They can also check everything else potentially going on and ask them to save your data in case you ECM goes bad.

    Easiest way to swap bushings?

I just swapped mine out “Twice” before my trip.😖 l ordered a set of cab bushings top and bottom from Memphis equipment because my bottom bushings were falling apart again. I replaced them all 6-7 years ago the top ones looked great but I figured while doing it go ahead and do too and bottom...

WHO' S A FULL TIME LMTV OVERLANDER, ANY OUT THERE?

No clunks and the steering is tight. But my link from steering box to kingpin the boots are gone. So looking at options. mine is a 2003 A1 with only 11,000 miles on it. With 90 psi in the tires and full load it takes the bumps like a champ but time says I should be changing them out.
