Sorry to bug you again, for testing the wires purposes it would be easier to do while parked versus driving and looking at a volt meter while the exhaust brake is working. Would I get the same voltage on pin 4 just by hit the warm up switch to on?

So do you agree I could just cut the power wire to pin H on the CTIS ECU and add a switch then locate the “CTIS Off” lights wire and so it illuminates when it’s off?

Mine is a 2003 M1078A1 and I’ve never found a power switch for the CTIS ECU.

I typically unplug my ECU when I'm not using the CTIS (in hopes to prolong its lifespan) but I hate the look of it and was going to just cut the power wire going to the ECU and install a switch so I can just turn it on or off when needed. Would there be any problem or reason I shouldn't do this...

Or take it to a cat service center. when I had those it turned out to be a sensor and then I would purchase it while I was there and put it on at home. They can also check everything else potentially going on and ask them to save your data in case you ECM goes bad.

Where are you finding the boots and is there a part number? Or how are you searching, key word or number?

No clunks and the steering is tight. But my link from steering box to kingpin the boots are gone. So looking at options. mine is a 2003 A1 with only 11,000 miles on it. With 90 psi in the tires and full load it takes the bumps like a champ but time says I should be changing them out.
