    Our MTVR camper:

Today we cut and fitted much of the 3.5" thick rigid polyiso insulation (R-24 value) for the front and side walls. The floor is already done. We still need to do the ceiling and the drawbridge.

Questions about best route to escape Oregon right before Thanksgiving:

I think so. All the barbecue and Mexican places look great- I got a Gut Pack as soon as I hit town. The real estate agent took me all over. I wanted to stay away from DFW, Austin, and the area around Fort Hood, and I think we did okay.

Questions about best route to escape Oregon right before Thanksgiving:

It appears likely that we will be moving from Portland Oregon to Waco Texas on or shortly after November 20th. Our MTVR camper:

I'm not very happy that the timing of this move will likely require tire chains, but I did score a set of four military surplus Oshkosh 16.00R20 tire chains for $400 with free delivery. I'll need to test fit them before we leave...

    Our MTVR camper:

We've had so many interruptions- most recently, I had to fly to Texas for a few days to buy a ranch. It will serve as a central base of operations for our exploration of the U.S., and it has a 2,300 square foot shop with 14' tall doors, to store our MTVR in. Today, in spite of the increasingly...

Buying a MK23...Am I making the right decision?

I was thinking the same thing.

Buying a MK23...Am I making the right decision?

It depends on the state, as well as the configuration of the vehicle. In most states, you need a CDL over 26,000 pounds GVWR, although most states will allow you to drive a motorhome over 26,000 pounds without a CDL (our MTVR is a motorhome). In Texas specifically, you need a class B non-CDL to...

Buying a MK23...Am I making the right decision?

Texas form VTR-135 makes no mention of the 25 year thing. What law is it that you are concerned about (the 25 year thing).
