    REV winch options

Another idea - has anyone mounted a third 12v battery to run a 12v winch off of? Would the 12v tap on the alternator be sufficient for that?

    REV winch options

I’ve searched around and have not found any winch options for the REV trucks. I believe they have different radiator mountings than other ECV trucks and that might affect winch positioning?? If there isn’t a simple solution, what do people think of mounting a trailer hitch receiver up front...

Picked up an M1165 - Want to Restore it

My fiberglass ones are surprisingly strong and stiff. No flex

Picked up an M1165 - Want to Restore it

It mainly leaked at the corners. The drip rails are too short. There’s a hole between the C Pillar and the roof where a squirrel could crawl through. The drip rain should be at least 3-4 inches longer to cover that gap. On mine, I had these aluminum rails, I believe to clip on a canvas...

Picked up an M1165 - Want to Restore it

Yes there were hummers made with crank windows. Yes hummer doors are top quality. But they might set you back 20k. Give that alpha door company a call. They look top notch and ready to install. Not a big project (like mine)

Picked up an M1165 - Want to Restore it

I went with assemble my self. But assemble is the wrong word. Custom fabricate is more accurate. I’ve had a lot of problems. Originally they told me to order the wrong power window mechanisms and I ducked with those forever. I eventually ordered a different sent which the company told me to...

Picked up an M1165 - Want to Restore it

I’m doing basically the same thing with my 1165. I bought take out dodge caravan seats off eBay. That are nice and fit fairly well. The front passenger seat is just high as it’s over the batteries. I did decide to alter the beam behind the front seats to give more legroom. I’m 6’1” and...

THE PLASTIC — Tail light housing and side marker light housing

Does that hold up well? I’ve never paid for rust oleum. The old 98 cent cans (which are 2.69 now) always performed just as well or better for me

THE PLASTIC — Tail light housing and side marker light housing

I purchased a new set of housings as some are cracked. Having them in my hand - I’m wondering if this plastic is UV stable?? It just seems like it’s not, and should be painted, to prevent them from cracking in the future. Curious if painting is necessary or not??

Thank you for this. But where is a link to the 2009 version? I can only find 1997…?

    Unknown Part M1165 A1

Is there a list of item that the military would have strapped to these plates? I’m looking for a large waterproof tote that’ll fit up over the fender

Please Help A/C turns on by itself

Is there a TM on these AC units? I haven’t be able to find the pages. My AC doesn’t work either. I know I need frion in the rear, so I’ll probably take the whole thing to an AC place but it would be nice to have the TM beforehand

    Bimini Jeep Style Top

I have no experience with them but Plan B sells an aluminum top without the curtain for $2000, but you don’t need the C Pillar. Soft tops can sell for that price I would bet. Factor in the cost of the C pillar and it may be the same or even cheaper to buy the aluminum top...

Is this hose and tube part of the crankcase breather, feeding back into the air intake??

    Gauge lights

I did pull the lenses and clean them and make sure both were working. I did not know to clean the light windows in the gauges themselves. I will take a look at that. So with those you’ve found the gauges to be much brighter??
