I rebuilt a few plastic ones that are basically a garbage throw-away design.
Yours seems to be the metal variant (much better). I am not aware of "rebuild kits" for these wiper motors. This seems to leave it to your ingenuity to make and attach a new shaft and lever. Maybe someone has a couple...
Also...parking brake. If the moustache spring has gone AWOL the shoes can hang up in reverse and look ok going forward.

@Gunfreak25 It was not until last summer that I took the softtop off my truck and I agree! A 13,000 lbs convertible is stupid fun. The only thing that keeps me from running topless more often is how hard the clamp rail is on the softtop when mounting and dismounting.
I have no experience running 395/85 R20 . It appears to me that their overall diameter is not that much more, compared to 11.00R20 and therefore the increase in top speed ("overdrive by tire") is comparable. The 395s are, however, much more mass to rotate and the width may also cause higher...
Yes, your level readings look very much ok. The turbo pressure you listed sure is not excessive (my D-turbo delivers beyond the gauge limit of 15 psi without hesitation, if I don't watch it).
That you are at altitude is of course important. You would indeed see higher EGT readings. As far as I...
@92ramaro . Garage. Concrete floor. I bet you even have, like, fancy doors that close. Maybe even a heater. ***staring at the empty spot where I would have built a nice small shop if the City let me***
The FDC could have been bypassed, without the concurrent reduction in fuel delivery being made. The screw would have to be turned in a few flats.
If it hasn't, that's ok, if you run a pyrometer. It gives you the extra oomph when you want it and you control your right foot and check the pyro...
I cannot even imagine how frustrating this is for you, but my hat is off to you for documenting your journey so well. This thread is going to help many others. Because, at the end, your truck WILL start.....

Crapshoot. The used one is quick to get and relaively cheap. "Leaking from top" may be from an old O-ring or a deformed injection line ferrule. A non-issue. Or from a cracked head. Useless beyond using it for testing.
I have one of the Chinese aftermarked heads (the ones that our gurus here...
The HH gurus will chime in, but I would be wondering about plunger wear in the HH and inability to build pressure. The booster pump on the IP may also warrant a look; does it supply fuel to the HH at the pressure required?
At this point it would be helpful to have a spare HH on hand to swap in...
Ok, so she is getting fuel now. Pressure at secondary filters should be 60-70 psi once running.
With fuel, air and compression there is not much reason why she should not fire. Injection timing could be off, of course, but you said she ran before.
At this point I'd be inclined to let her sniff...
If you got it for a good price - which means that you were happy paying it and the seller happy receiving it - getting weather checked tires replaced on top of it is a bonus. Those big super singles are not cheap.
I like the stance; the 5ton with the short van box looks muscular and well...
I wish to think I got them all, especially when doing the one on the brake pedal assembly and the one on the pintle, but i am sure I manage to forget one of the..what...42? zerks on a winch truck .

I think you might be answering your own question. If it sounds/feels fuel starved, it likely is.
You discovered crud in the tank and varnish. That stuff was likely also in the several yards of fuel line, supply and return. When that material starts moving, it can clog up new filters.
Take the...
I was thinking.."wow, 5k for THIS?" Looking at the truck in the picture with the molested bed and wooden "improvements".
Then I figured out that this is not YOUR truck! Sometimes, more coffee is a good thing.

I wish it was my place! This is a former wool blanket factory, turned storage facility. Just got a new owner, with an immediate 80% price hike. Oh, well.....gotta pay to play, as they say.
It is this time of the year again. Leaves falling, temperatures dropping and snow on the horizon. Queen Lola got tucked away into her winter quarters today.
I am always in a slightly somber mood when I put her away. I do miss going for rides in those six months of the year. On the other...
Any time I wince at the price of a part for my Deuce I will return to this bookmarked thread and feel like I have a cheap hobby!

Oh, the memories! Unloading an old dump truck in a similar fashion. "Put it in neutral" the guy said. Only, it wasn't. Engine coughed to life as the loader nudged the truck down the ramp. Then it took off. No way for us to run and catch it. Massacred a fence, a perimeter wall and got stuck in...
